31 The Blazing Fire

Amara's POV

"Alex, ayaw kong mamatay." Natara cried. Blaz was still silent while looking at both of us. I know he's having a battle inside his head and it's making him vulnerable. He pinched his nose bridge and closed his eyes tightly.

I smiled. Sapat na sa akin na nagdalawang-isip siya. Kasi naramdaman ko na mahalaga din ako sa kanya. So, for me, it's enough. Whatever decision he makes, I'll accept it... kahit pa hindi ako ang piliin niya.

"Pumili ka na habang pinagbibigyan pa kita, dahil kapag ako nainip, pareparehas kayong mamamatay," the Miletrian King said. "Fine, I know it is hard to pick between those two gorgeous ladies, so I'll let your friends enter this mountain, para naman matulungan ka nila." Pagkasabing-pagkasabi niya nito, the Masters appeared in front of us. Their eyes are wide open because of shock and terror.

"I'll give you 5 minutes to choose. Kapag nakapili ka na, just throw a blazing fire on the girl you will let go, and boom! The rest of you will be teleported outside this mountain in just a snap. I'm so kind, aren't I? But if you are still here after I get back, I will kill you all," he said.

"Well in my preference, why don't you choose the princess? Because frankly, your princess is nothing compared to this lady. Mas maganda kung ang babaeng mortal ang gagamitin ko." He smirked while looking at me before disappearing into thin air together with his associates, Aron, and the Prime Minister.

"Dongseng!" I looked at Josh and I smiled when I saw his concerned face.

"Oppa, mukha kang mahihimatay hahaha," I laughed. He immediately walked towards me and removed my handcuffs.

"Ara naman! Nakuha mo pang magbiro sa lagay mong yan?! Ano ka ba?! Alalang-alala kaya ako sa'yo!" his voice is cracking at kita ko ang mga luhang nagbabadyang pumatak sa mga mata niya. I smiled at him and hugged him tight.

"Thank you ha," I said.

"Nakakainis ka naman! Mamaya ka na magpasalamat kapag nakalabas na tayo dito!" he said before wiping his tears.

"Guys, we need to get out of here. Kailangan na nating makatakas bago pa sila bumalik," Vinn said before helping me stand up. Ganoon din ang ginawa ni Phil kay Natara. We tried to teleport pero nabigo kaming makaalis. The barrier was stronger than before. Parang sinadya itong mas palakasin para hindi kami makaalis. They also tried to pass to the barrier and use force to destroy it pero tulad ng sinabi ko, mas pinalakas ito.

"There is no other way," Shen said, "You need to choose Xander, or else we will all die."

"No! Prince, just choose the princess! Wala namang kwenta yang mortal na yan! Ayaw ko pang mamatay!" Kiana said.

"Be careful with your words Kiana, hindi mo alam ang sinasabi mo," Vinn said while holding Jen tightly.

"Ara is important to us, so don't tell us na wala siyang kwenta! You bitch," dagdag pa ni Gail.

"Let's be practical guys, hindi naman siya papatayin diba? It is the best option. The princess is very important in Allaria, same as the royalties and the masters. Mahalaga tayo sa lupain natin. At kapag nawala tayong lahat, it will be a disadvantage for us. Lalo na't tayo ang inaasahan nila," Shen said making me close my eyes. Tama naman siya.

Humigpit ang hawak sa akin ni Oppa at ramdam ko ang pagpipigil niya ng galit dahilan para pisilin ko rin ang kamay niya. I smiled to tell him that I'm okay, kahit sa loob-loob ko sobrang bigat sa pakiramdam. My chest is aching in pain. Akala ko kaya ko, pero masakit rin pala na marinig mo ng harap-harapan. Nakakapanghina.

"Xander, y-you need to decide," Ella whispered.

I looked at Blaz and tears started to flow in my face again at the sight of his face. Alam ko kung gaano siya nahihirapan. I can see it in his eyes. He walked towards me and held my right hand. His hands are trembling, I can feel it.

"Hey," I called. I caressed his face using my left hand and make him look at me. The moment his eyes founded mine, I smiled.

"I'm alright," I assured him, but my tears failed me. They were continued to stream down my face like a river. He leaned his forehead on my shoulders and started sobbing. I caressed his hair while preventing my sobs. Kailangan kong ipakita sa kanya na maayos lang ako, na kaya ko.

"Go," I said. He looked at me with guilt and pain before stepping a few steps backward. He formed a fireball in his hands and aimed it at me.

"Xander, wag. You will regret this. Wag, please. Si Ara yan eh. Hindi natin siya pwedeng iwanan," Josh pleaded. I looked at Blaz while shaking my head to tell him not to listen to Josh.

"I'm so-rry," he said. I closed my eyes and the moment I felt that hot and painful blazing fire of his, I know, they left me. They left me in this horrible place... alone.

Napasalampak na lang ako sa sahig habang iniinda ang sakit ng katawan ko, lalong-lalo na ng puso ko.

Josh's POV

"Bakit mo siya iniwan?!" sigaw ko kay Xander ng pagmulat ko nasa labas na kaming lahat ng Mt. Banawa. "Tang'na naman Alexander! Bulag ka ba?! O sadyang duwag ka lang?!" Kinwelyuhan ko siya at gigil na gigil na sinuntok. Natumba siya sa lupa dahil sa impact at wala man lang akong naramdamang pagsisisi.

"Josh! Stop!" pigil ni Gail pero hindi ako nakinig sa kanya.

"Alam kong mahal mo si Amara! Pero pinagpalit mo siya para sa babaeng yan?! Ang tanga mo!" Nanatili lang siyang tulala at walang emosyong lumuluha.

"Josh, she is not just an ordinary girl. Prinsesa natin yan, at siya ang prayoridad natin. Kahit pa sabihing mahalaga sa atin si Amara, mas mahalaga ang kaligtasan natin dahil kapag nawala tayo, sino ang proprotekta sa Allaria?" Vinn said, "At alam kong kaya ni Amara yun. Malakas siya at alam kong malalampasan niya iyon."

"Can't you see her earlier?! Hindi na niya kaya! Pagod na siya hindi niyo ba nakita?! Hindi porket malakas siya ay hindi na siya nahihirapan!" I said.

"So, what do you want us to do? Choose her and leave the princess there?" Kiana said sarcastically.

"Hindi niyo nga alam kung totoo bang prinsesa yan eh!"

"Anne proved us that she is the princess," Jen said.

"Fine. Bahala kayo. But if something bad happened to her, magkalimutan na tayo," saad ko.

"At ikaw Xander, I hope you live with pain and misery," madiing dagdag ko. "Because that is what you deserve for letting go of her."
