After one year

"Love!"

["Alli, I'll call you back later, okay? And message me when you landed, okay?"]

"Yes love?"

"Did you eat your lunch already?" She asked and I nodded. I'm at the company that I work for right now and my girlfriend is just here ready to pick my lunch box. Nabanggit ko kasi sa kanya na hindi ako kumakain sa cafeteria kaya araw-araw niya na 'kong hinahatiran ng pagkain, hindi ko din naman mapigilan dahil alam kong sesermunan na naman niya 'ko.

"Were you talking to someone earlier?" She asked while she cleans up my table. Sinabi ko ng ako na ang maglilinis nun pero mas gusto niyang siya na, ang hirap na din naman makipagtalo dito lalo na pag linisan ang usapan dahil over-compulsive siya kaya gusto niyang siya lahat ang gagawa basta pag linis ang usapan.

"I was. It's Alli, my bestfriend from Philippines." I answered. There's no point on lying, matagal naman ng tapos yung issue ni Macy kay Alli and she's now mature, enough to stop her jealousy over Allison.

"Really? And you ended the call?" She asked again but now she's frowning her eyebrows to me.

"Uhh, yeah? I'll call her back later, nasa flight din naman siya kaya mamaya ko na lang siya ulit tatawagan." Sagot ko. Hindi na din naman siya nagsalita ulit so I took that as a sign to continue my work again.

Macy is my ex-girlfriend and a year ago, we just got back together again. She has been there for me since my break-up with Alli, I suffer for months over it, hindi ako kumain, hindi ako makatulog, my supervisor even got mad at me for not giving him great designs for our project, I am so devastated in that time and I'm beyond grateful that I met Macy here. She's currently working in a different company as an Interior Designer, and since we ran to each other, hindi na siya ulit nawala sa tabi ko.

"Are you okay now? I can help you sign a leave of absence if you need to." Macy said. She keeps on suggesting to me to sign a leave of absence for few months because of my bad state of mind right now but I also keep telling her that I don't need it.

Hindi ko naman pwedeng pabayaan yung trabaho ko dahil lang sa sobrang bigat ng pakiramdam ko. Para namang nawala sa akin si Allison, napagkasunduan naman namin na pwede pa din kaming maging magkaibigan.

"I don't need it anymore, I will pick myself up again okay? Hindi ko kailangan ng leave of absence. Just stay here beside me." I said. Tatlong buwan na ang nakalipas since naghiwalay kami, that's enough for me to pick myself up again.

Pagtapos ko sa trabaho, inayos ko na ang gamit ko at bumaba na sa parking lot. I invited Macy for a dinner tonight because I promise her that we at least go for a date once a week because we rarely see each other everyday, kaya masaya na din ako sa idea niya na hatiran ako ng lunch araw-araw. Buti na lang din at malapit lang ang company nila dito pati na din ang condo niya. We're still not leaving together for a reason that I want to save enough money for now before we look for a good place enough for us both.

"You look beautiful as always." I said the moment I saw her wearing a dress. Bihira ko lang din siya makitang mag-suot ng dress dahil corporate attire ang dress code ng lahat ng companies dito because that's more formal than dresses especially you're in a company.

"Aww, thanks, love." She said and give me a peck on the lips before I start the engine.

"You mention to me earlier na nasa flight si Alli, where will she go?" She asked.

"Here, she mentioned she will be meeting a client here." I answered while slicing her steak. I do this everytime we got steak, alam ko namang kaya niya, gusto ko lang talaga gawin 'to for her.

"Really? Will she stay long here?" I shrugged. Hindi ko pa naman ulit nakakausap si Alli pagtapos ng tawag namin kanina. "I thought you will call her back? Didn't you?" She asked again eyeing me now. Trust me when I said that her glare is so frightening, para ka niyang hinuhuburan sa tingin niya.

"I have so many in my plate earlier so I forgot to call her back, love. I'll call her later, don't worry." I said and push her plate slowly towards her.

"Okay, let me know if she will stay longer so that we can invite her for a dinner or lunch, depends on her schedule I guess." She said before eating her food.

I just drive Macy home after our dinner at umuwi na din ako. I just took a bath before going to bed but before I even close my eyes, naalala kong tatawagan ko nga pala si Alli so I got my phone from the bed side table and dial her number. And after few rings, she answered.

"Alli, I forgot calling you back earlier, I'm sorry."

["No, it's okay. Plus, I went to a meeting with my client so I also forgot calling you when I landed earlier."]

"So I guess, we both forgot." I said and stifle a laugh.

["Yeah right, how are you though?"]

"I'm good, I just call to ask you if you're planning to stay long here? Para naman makapag-catch up tayo." I remember that I still didn't tell her about Macy and I getting back together again, should I tell her now?

"Uhm, Alli. I have something to tell you and I thought you should know."

["Hmm? What is it?"] She asked and I don't know why I'm getting nervous. Isang taon na din naman na kaming hiwalay. There's no reason to hide this from her, she's still my bestfriend after all.

"I got back together with Macy." I said hoping to see her reaction right now.

["Really? I'm... I'm happy for you."] She said and before I even speak again, she already bid her goodbye and hang up the phone.

Few more months had passed, Macy and I already live together and we're now packing for our flight to the Philippines. I have a conference there again but this time it will last for a week kaya pinilit ako ni Macy na sumama siya even though she have work here but before even discussing it with me, she already sign a leave of absence and send it to her supervisor. Kung hindi lang siguro hardworking 'to baka hindi talaga siya payagan.

"Are you that excited to meet my friends?" I asked when we landed off the plane. She didn't even try to sleep through our whole flight dahil hindi din naman daw siya makatulog sa sobrang excited niya especially she will be meeting Alli again after so many years had passed.

After Alli went to Italy, we haven't got the chance to see each other again and that made Macy so sad because she's already looking forward to it. But now, she's making sure that she will meet Alli again, akala mo naman hindi niya pinagselosan dati, their relationship didn't even end well so I really don't know how will Macy talk to Alli after for years of not talking to each other.

"Can we go to Alli first?" I looked at her with wide eyes for what she said. Ni hindi pa nga kami nakakapag-check in sa hotel, si Alli agad ang gusto niyang puntahan?

"Can we at least check in first, love? Plus, you brought your big luggage, how will we supposed to bring that to their company?" I sarcastically said that made her brows creased again.

"Okay fine, let's go check in first." She said not looking at me now. Natawa na lang ako sa attitude niya, I find it cute sometimes but when she's starting to get annoyed, I know that my life is already in danger.

I hope my relationship with her now will last long. I can't lose another girl from my life again. After I loved a girl too much that I didn't even imagine losing, I already promise myself that I will fight for this no matter what.
