This whole experience was all so surreal for me. I've never gotten to the seventh month milestone supporting a pregnancy. It was sad, I know, what happened in the past stays in the past and I look towards my future. I've been thinking about the future a lot actually. It was the same thing every damn time for a while, playing more sold out shows and making fans happy. Maybe settle down and start a family. I had to think about that from a totally different perspective now. I am going to have a family. In a matter of two months, there will officially be a mini Gaskarth. This was mind blowing to me. I never thought that this would happen in a million years. Especially this early. My mind was definitely blown when I first heard that Gwen was pregnant. It's been nearly 7 months now and I was ecstatic. By now I'd probably have a little family with Amanda, but I couldn't help but feel relieved it wasn't her. I definitely didn't fall for her as hard as I fell for Gwen.

I was happy that I fell for Gwen. I was happy that my mind and my heart gave me another chance to love again. Especially after something so heart breaking. It was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders.

"Alex I want McDonald's." Gwen whined as we passed by a McDonald's. We were on our way to her doctors appointment and I felt bad now for how quiet I was being.

"On the way back I promise. We're gonna be late." I said. One thing I've learned is that you never, never ever say maybe about food to a pregnant woman. It's always a promise, never a maybe. I learned the hard way...I don't want to talk about it.

"Aren't you excited!?" She asked and tapped her foot a little faster. "I mean think about it, we've been to these things before and it was always a little bean or a hardly developed body. This time! It's actually going to be a little itty bitty baby!" She said and looked at me.

She had a point. I was rarely able to see anything. But with the months flying by and her stomach growing there was bound to be something seen by me.

"Yeah I am excited." I said as we pulled into the doctors office parking lot.

"This is so exciting!" She yelled as she wobbled to the door. She was so energetic, even when pregnant she never ceases to be her normal self. Which in my brain means that this baby will definitely take after her mommy.

Yes, yes, her. I just had a feeling it was a girl. Gut feeling. Most guys want a son so they can teach them football and have fatherly son bonding time. I wanted a daughter. A little girl. She doesn't have to be all princesses and ponies and all that. I'm pretty sure she'll sit through a Raven's game or two with her dad and Uncle Jack.

"Gwen?" I saw the nurse pop her head in and smile widely. Gwen got up and walked towards the door and I followed.

"How are we today?" The nurse asked. Gwen smiled. I loved her smile

"We're great." She beamed and stepped into a room.

"Alright, just lay down on that bed over there and the doctor will be in momentarily." The nurse instructed.

"This is real." She said as the nurse left the room.

"Yeah, I know." I said quietly and sat next to her. As if it was out of instinct she grabbed my hand and smiled.

"Two more months." She said happily as the doctor walked in.

"Aahh my favorite couple! How is everyone today?" He asked and sat down on the stool and rolled closer to us.

Gwen lifted up her shirt to just above her bump and smiled, she smiles a lot more and I love it "were great thank you."

The doctor placed his hand at the base of the bump and the top of the bump and smiled. "Wonderful."

He squirted some goo on her stomach and turned on the machine. "Are you guys ready to see your baby?" He asked and placed the little probe on her stomach.

A little image appeared on the screen and I soon saw it was a little baby. My little baby.

"The head is obviously noticeable, but here's the little arms and legs, I can even point out some toes." He said and pointed to the different places on the screen.

"Would you like to know the gender?" He asked and moved the device around more. We both nodded and he looked a little more. "What do you want to have?" He asked and paused the moving.

"Girl." We said simultaneously. We looked at each other and broke out into a smile and squeezed my hand.

He nodded and looked at us "congratulations, it's a girl." He announced and printed out two little pictures.

I took a picture of the sonogram picture and wanted to freak Jack out so I sent it to him.

"What're you smiling at your phone for?" Gwen asked and grabbed a paper towel to wipe off her stomach.

"I sent it to Jack to freak him out." I said as my phone vibrated.

'It'll be cuter once it comes out' was all it said. I laughed and she got up off the bed and pulled me out following her.

"I don't know about you, but my day is made." She said as I pulled out of the parking lot.

"I want to start decorating her room." I said.

She squealed in excitement and clapped her hands. "Yes! Yes yes yes!" She squealed.

"I'm going to decorate the shit out of that room." She said and ran out of the car once I parked it. Instead of running over to our front door she ran over to the bands house and knocked and rang the doorbell.

The door opened and I stood near the car watching her flail her arms around and jumping a little bit in front of Jack. He smiled tiredly and nodded and she ran back over.

"He's coming over to help decorate." She squealed and opened the door.

"This better be fucking good for waking me up this early." He said as he walked through the door.

"It's only 1:30 in the afternoon jack." She said with confusion in her voice.

"Exactly, so are we decorating or not?"
