'It's okay.' Ryan hugged me as I buried my head under his chest. I felt so much warmth in it. Like a cold child searching for some warmth and ending up beside a warm fire. A fire that provided the perfect warmth to the child.

'I just want to scrape off the previous years; I want to restart. I just wanna... I can't handle this shit anymore. Pain from all directions; in every way.' I cried. Ryan assured me it wasn't a bad idea. And he was just assuring me. It wasn't possible and we both knew that.

'You're my best girl, Kashi.' He said in the most caring way possible, his eyes locked in mine. 'And no matter what, I'll stick to you. You just gotta trust me.' Ryan squeezed my hand tightly.

I just smiled. I had no idea what to do.

'Take this, think of it as a return gift. For the party, for being in my life. Please don't say no.' Ryan handed over a golden wrapped something. It was heavy and big. 'Also your birthday gift is due.' He smiled, but I noticed a flicker of some emotion in his eyes I didn't recognize. I decided to ignore it for the time being.

I had finally done my crying, so I just headed back home. I hardly cried, and it felt really great to let it out in front of someone.
