'We're leaving.' I sobbed my wits out. 'Or at least I am, if no one else.'
The village saw the deadliest attack since the time I stayed there, and one of the older tree spirits was killed. Matilda, Aspen, Mat, and everyone grieved endlessly. Also, given the fact that I witnessed a lot of past, I wanted to get away from Etis. I wanted to be on the safer side, for some time at least. Also, I was pretty angry that no one actually told us what was really going on. Come on, teenagers ought to know!
'I'm leaving with her.' Ryan declared. Aspen and Varya nodded extensively. Mat was more than happy to see me go back to my real 'place'. The thing wasn't that I didn't feel connected enough with the place to stay and protect it, it was my gut feeling that we should leave for now. Also, Matilda had immediately suggested it after the deadly attack.
'I agree with Karishma, she's right. They'll be safer on Earth.' Deisy nodded.
'Ryan you can't leave your land.' His mother persuaded.
'The same land where people aren't willing to include me anywhere, we aren't even training properly! I better leave for Earth, mom. I and Karishma will be happier there.'
She gave up after continuously coaxing him. And then the talks and discussions started, and after disordered decisions, we were finally sent back to Earth for some days.
'Yes, its best for her.' Deisy said, tensed.
And then we set out for Mumbai, and back to life without magic for some time.
