'Wake up babe!' Ryan screamed over the phone. 'You're gonna be late for classes!' I picked his phone up groggily. I looked at the time. It was nine-thirty. I had a class in half an hour.
I jumped up on my bed.
After fifteen minutes Ryan arrived at my house, and I was still sitting on my bed, panicking. A new teacher was to come that day. I felt like the most insincere student in the world.
'Do you realize we're gonna be late? Like really late?' He said with his hands in his hair. I just nodded. I felt like I would drop dead in a panic the next moment.
It had almost been three months of my life in Etis, and I still forgot the fact that I lived alone and there was no one to wake me up. Ryan tried to call me every time although.
'I'm really late. You go, I'll do a rain check.'
'Get up and go take a shower.' Ryan commanded. I reluctantly got up and went for a shower. I knew he'd leave without me, and I was really happy he would. I'd rather spend time writing a short story.
When I came out of the shower, the situation was pretty different though.
Ryan was cooking something, maybe Oats. He had packed my bag. Upon seeing me, he gestured me to go dress up. And as I wore my clothes, he put a spoon full of Oats into my mouth. I gulped at full speed, but I had a lot on my mouth already. He combed my hair as I struggled with my buttons and swallowing both. He also planted kisses in between on my forehead and then scolding me.
'Eat fast Kashi! You ain't a toddler and I ain't your parent!' He said as he scooped in more Oats into my mouth and then tying my hair.
In ten minutes, I was fully ready to hit the class. We hopped on our Zephads and zoomed in for the School of Etis. We had to literally run into the class because it was exactly ten. Ryan held me by my wrist and almost pulled me into the classroom.
I couldn't help but smile idiotically at Ryan.
I really love him.
