It wasn't a surprise Ryan followed me on his Zephad, and we just moved on, without breaking the silence.
'I know you are thinking about Veer.' He said, his voice small.
'Hey, hey, hey, it's not what you think. Yes, my heart throbs for Veer. But, he's a beautiful memory I cherish, Ryan, and I cherish memories. A lot of them. I have reincarnated as Karishma, and now more than Marvella, I'm her. And Karishma loves you for real, Ryan Roy. By the way, I see a lot of similarities between both of you, don't blame me, I had no idea I was the Queen when I was shouting for a sandwich that day in the canteen.'
Both of us laughed. It was just like old times but coated with sorry and in a completely different situation. 'Of course, I don't, I love you too much for that.'
'I'm sorry for every single time I made you feel bad, insecure, or hurt you. But trust me, I love you.'
'Change the topic. Why are we flying?'
Is he angry? He surely can't be. I had no intention, wait. I could spot waterlogging all around our beautiful city, crops and plants destroyed, even a few animals and human carcasses, and I was thinking about my love life?
Very selfish of me. I immediately pushed away all my thoughts. 'This land, I will not spare anyone who tried to harm it. For starters, we're heading to Prakash's, he's our long-awaited hypocrite.'
It didn't take much for Ryan to gear up, his eyes glowed extensively and he couldn't wait to finish off Prakash. When we entered the Ocean, he got me a Zephad and we immediately zoomed into Prakash's hall.
'Karishma, you're back! I'm so happy to see you!' He exclaimed, his joy apparent. He could have won the best actor award any day at Bollywood.
'Aren't you dear? How does it feel?' I smiled sweetly.
'It feels terrible Queen. Our worlds have crashed. I have been thinking of reforming them, but we all await your abl--
'No, not that. Being disowned by your allies, and then now being caught.'
'I don't understand.'
My eyes glowed and I held him up and high in the air. Strangely, I had no fatigue at all. I was fine, my magic brewing as strong as before. Ryan tipped his sword at his neck. 'How long was I gone, baby?'
'Four months, honey. It's our first anniversary today by the way. Remember you proposed to me at the beach, back in Mumbai? How time flies by, eventfully.'
'Prakash got lucky, for those four months. Now before I finish you off, dirty vermin, spill. TALK!'
It seemed he was pretty terrified by the sword. 'Everyone talked about you. While you were gone, while you were here. You left, bitch! You left.' Ryan inserted the sword in, almost but I stopped him. 'It was because of you our Goddess disappeared, we never saw her. She said only the right person can bring her out, guess what? I wasn't that. Why does everyone love you? You can do nothing for this world alone anyway and you are cowardly. A bully. A dictator. You left us hanging, yet you're so valued by the wisest of the wisest. Why? You killed an innocent, why are you still looked upon with respect?'
'Because her powers, her life, she devotes it for the people. For her land. Her values, they are beyond reach. She's my partner, and I swear you would wish you died if you say more. That is the amount of torture I'll give you. She might have a hundred flaws, she does, but she had one trait which you lack; ability to accept her mistakes, learn, and try to rectify them.'
'You're her pet dog, Nathaira was right.'
I swear I would have torn him apart right then. 'You think that's sniffing around? You do, because you don't know what's true companionship, true relationships are. Taking a stand for another person, everyone cannot do that. And he, Ryan, he's the most sensible guy I have ever come across. Keep your judgments with you.'
'You know what? Nathaira? I raised her. In the depth of the ocean I did. She was a small serpent, when she was thrown here, in the Ocean, left to die by Veer, when I took her. I had no idea it was the same girl who met that fate, that punishment by Veer, I just thought she was a lost child. And then when one day she came and told me everything, I agreed to help her. How could I not? I loved her. As a daughter, as a wife.'
'Isn't that a horrible thing to say, Prakash? She used you, manipulated you, and then she left you now, in our hands.' Ryan spoke.
'It's the circumstance, I'm sure. I accept it. But you remember, Karishma, Marvella, or whoever you are, you aren't a successful supreme all the time, you failed. You will continue to fail.'
'I promise I won't. And it's my circumstance to kill you now or wait, let your daughter cum wife kill you herself.' And in a swift, he disappeared into thin air. 'Ryan, close your eyes.'
'Daddy dearest, husband dearest, the Queen's favorites have set her eyes on you now, you might compromise your loyalty. I love you dearie, goodbye.'
And I channelized my magic, and both of us could feel Prakash scream as he pled for his life, and how heartlessly his beloved daughter and wife ripped him off.
