'Our best place.' Ryan smiled as we sat at the very same place where I proposed him. I smiled back weakly. I hadn't told him what had happened in Ayum's party to him for some reason. I couldn't seem to be able to say it. It had almost been a week since one of the worst nights of my life, but the instances were still fresh in my mind. There was a sharp pain I felt, which got greatly reduced when Ryan kissed my forehead. We had got extremely close during the days as we prepared to leave for Etis. We started sitting together in school, despite our strict 'No mixing with opposite Gender' policy there, and all the teachers eyed us irritably.
Who could explain to them that life was much more than catching every teenage relationship in school?
Ayum, unfortunately, had transferred to our school for some reason, I didn't hate him or something, but I was just sad that my school was nothing like his previous school. He also was pretty cool with me, as if he didn't do anything awkward. He seemed pretty cool with it.
I guess according to him he didn't.
Sad.
Not hate or anger.
Sadness.
Well, I dug deeper, and I realized he would often come to our school for some inspection, on an on and off basis.
'I smell bad mood.' Ryan said playfully. I shook my head and gave a small smile. 'Homesick already?' He kissed me briefly. 'It'll be great, trust me.'
I hoped it was.
Ryan told me about a festival in Pentatox shortly after his kiss. 'It's actually sponsored by Cecila. She got married last week. There's gonna be a play enacted and then a ball dance with a buffet. We're all gonna go. Also, I'm supposed to sing there.'
I felt instantly happy. That was a much-needed event for me. At least I could keep my mind off Ayum's party for some time at peace. 'I actually wrote a song, would you sing that in the fest?'
'I'll see.'
'I'll send you the lyrics and the sample tune.'
'Let's see.'
