Through the eyes of Ryan~

I was grimacing in pain when she burst out, like a fireball, and the heat shattered everything around it. The fire, it was so strong that each and every creature there was crushed into nothingness. Zachariah and Nathaira shielded themselves, but they too were struggling to keep at par. They were too startled, they weren't expecting her to react that way.

That was the Fallen Queen, standing right in front of us.

My Kashi.

Her screams became louder as she moved around, her body generating so much heat, so much fire, and rage, that we could just stand and watch. Kashi's eyes turned Amber and her hair fell open, with a honey brown shade. Her skin turned a bit more golden as far I could see, and her dress burnt into nothingness as an orange, layered gown replaced it. She had a diamond crown on her head. She was exactly the same Kashi I met in that very school of ours, but the aura, the appearance?

It became charismatic, magnetic, and bold.

She was the Queen all along? Did she know? Why would she keep it from us? Why would she do this? My thoughts came to a screeching halt when suddenly the light disappeared, and she crumpled on the playground, without a movement.

'Kashi!' I ran towards, her. I could feel burning heat from a meter of distance away, but I moved on anyway. I slowly picked her up, expecting to burn myself. Strangely, the heat and the fire did nothing to me. I felt a warm, childlike aura instead. I also checked my wounds, which had completely healed.

I immediately portal led us back to Etis, where everyone blew in shock and hysteria, but I paid no heed. I gestured Matilda to come to the hospital with me, and anyway, everyone followed, their faces white as fuck. I laid her down on the bed, which I made sure I put her on a ceramic made bed so that it would not melt. Matilda and the doctors just looked at her, while Matilda folded her hands and smiled with tears in her eyes, I saw light in her eyes this time. Kashi always said they were too blank, but this time it was different. Her eyes glowed with joy and happiness.

We all stood there because there was nothing in this world yet developed which could work on our Fallen Queen, to heal her. She healed herself on her own, she was Marvella, our one and only Queen after all.

After almost three hours, which was a long time, she opened her eyes. I took my steps slowly towards her, she wasn't emitting heat anymore, but her skin glowed fiery orange yet, and her pupils danced with fire. They turned back to bright amber in between, but in no time flickered back. She was so beautiful, the best she looked ever yet. Her aura, it was striking, powerful, everyone could perceive the amount of dynamism she contained. It had newly blossomed after god knows how many years of suppression, so it was in its purest, strongest form.

'Ryan.' Her voice was steady, audacious even. Kashi? She was bold, but this was different. I didn't know how should I react to it, is the Kashi we knew gone? Since when did she know she was the Fallen Queen? There were so many questions left unanswered.

The other day I remember fighting with Karishma. It was serious, I was actually pissed as to why she wasn't interested in saving Etis. I had lost my cool and said a lot of things I shouldn't have, ideally. I remember her thinking, 'Ryan wasn't that perfect. Actually, he wasn't perfect. He could be insensitive and cold. Sometimes he didn't pay attention to my words and it was usually hard for me to make him open up.' I was so hurt, as I had purposefully invaded her mind, which I generally don't do, I had learned to control my powers. But then her eagerness to leave scared me. I expected more out of her.

And then there was this time when she was clearing her room, recently, and she found the first story she ever wrote.

'Once there was a world where there were magic and mermaids, everyone lived happily until the evil came.' It matched so much with the Fallen Queen's myth, and I could see how freaked out she was, but I was the one who assured her there was nothing to worry about. I joked even, saying she was made for Etis.

She was.

She was the Queen herself.

And I finally understand why Zachariah and Nathaira weren't destroying Etis completely; they were searching for her. And now the serpent and the eagle won't stop.

'I must thank you for saving me, the Queen got a bit restless and angry.' She smirked. The gleam in her eyes was captivating. 'Bonjour people, I hope you're good. This is your Fallen Queen aka Karishma or Marvella, whatever you say, and I'm officially back.'
