Fifteen days later, Ryan finally was back. It took me every ounce of my blood, sweat, and tears to bring him back. Ayum as promised helped me a lot too. This was so unfair to Ryan, but he forgave me like a god. He also told me he'll punish me when the time comes. Everything was a little cooler. Ayum stopped bothering me, but his stares kept unimpaired. I and Ryan were back in our cheerful mode, although Etis was a warzone. Also, the new virus was taking up the news channels by storm a bit too much.
'This Fallen Queen. I sometimes wonder, was she evil after all?' Ryan questioned, as our History teacher left the class midway to talk to another teacher.
'No of course not. She was I guess a very complex person, sometimes even she didn't understand her actions.' I defended like a pro. 'Also, look at how she disappeared, she must have some reason though.'
'Agreed. She was one hell of a leader though. Bold.' He replied. While we happily talked, my eyes fell on our corridor, and then the playground in front of it, and the sky. It had turned purplish and black suddenly. Everything got dark as the extra-bright clouds covered the sky.
'Ryan.' I gasped. He immediately stood up. I gestured him to sit down. Then I saw big men swarming across the entire school, like bees. The Eagles.
'Students, stay in.' Our teacher shouted, as she closed the door and came inside the classroom. There was chaos inside the classroom, and instantly the school thundered with frightening screams.
'Puny Earthlings, I'm here for someone. Someone very special, and she knows it. So come forth you, before I wipe this place's existence from the Universe. Come to the corridors at once.' That was Zachariah's voice. Shit. Ryan stood up. I insisted he sit.
Everyone left for the corridors, which was completely surrounding the playground from all four directions. Some stayed inside. I stood up, taking steps towards the door.
'You can't risk everyone's life, will you? We have Earthly destructors, guns!' The men instantly shot bullets in the air at his voice. 'Face me, Marvella. Face me FALLEN QUEEN!'
Everyone gasped and shouted. No one had any idea what was going on.
'What? Is he mad? The Queen? Is he out of his brain? I'll go han-
'Don't you dare.' I stood straighter. 'Ma'am, please alert the other teachers to take care of the students right now, not to do anything stupid hastily. Calling the police won't help, so please do this. Ryan, please stay here. And Ayum? Please help the teacher.'
Strangely, no one protested.
And then Zachariah stood on the ground, looking angrier than ever. Everyone gasped in shock at his sight. He held a boy by the hair and pushed him forth, my fists clenched. He was hurting my people. And then Nathaira entered, slithering and whispered something in his ear. He grinned. 'I know how to bring you out, sweetheart. You're a sucker for love. I know it.'
And then huge men came and picked up Ryan. He fought, I did too, but it was of no use. They were too strong, plus we also had to make sure that everyone was okay.
'Kashi get off!' He shouted as he fought with Zachariah's army.
'Are you kidding me? Why will I not help?' I said in disbelief. His eyes glowed as he electrified (literally) one man.
'You alert Etis!' He shouted. 'Don't worry about me.'
'Are you crazy, why will I not worry about you?'
They took some other boys from our class too and when I looked down, I saw a number of boys in the field, tied up in the plot. The school got even more chaotic than it was. Teachers were in utter despair.
We resited the swarm of the men, and thankfully Ayum was safe.
But they took Ryan.
'I know, Marvella, you bitch. You have a lover here. There is someone who resembles Veer closely here, and that is why you love him. What did you think? We won't know? You might have powers to transform into Earthlings and forget that you were that crazy, cruel woman, who only cared about her throne!' Nathaira screamed. 'But we don't! All these years, our silent hard work paid off, we're better than ever, Marvella! You Fallen Queen! You'll see what Falling actually means.'
I slowly walked out of the room, eyeing my surroundings carefully.
'And now we shall spot the one with Etis blood, the one who's your life. Ah here.' Zachariah grabbed Ryan.
Now everyone was silent, waiting for the Fallen Queen to come forth.
'You have to show yourself, Marvella. You have no choice now, come!' Zachariah screamed into the air, laughing with utmost malice.
