'Kashi, I've recruited the nature spirits to clean up the city. Many children have volunteered, but everyone seems really depressed though. The Season Sisters? They're figuring a way out to restore the environment. We'll start training soon. I've sent Deisy and Mom to hold motivational campaigns for the youth to sign up again, oh my god, Kashi, your hands!'

I looked at them instantly. They were stark white as if dusted by snow. No wonder my body felt colder than usual. How was this possible? My element had clearly been fire and manipulation all along, strength all along, how did I have snow on my hands? Ice on my hands? Were my powers diminishing? I had no idea what was happening. I agree I had seen the world in a lot more phases and situations than everyone else around, but this was different. Never had I ever heard or witnessed a situation as such. 'Ryan, I don't know what's happening to me. Please help me.' I spoke frantically. I was anxious and I feared I was losing my power. I simply couldn't. I had to bring back Etis, this cannot happen.

'I don't know what's happening Kashi.' Ryan hugged me. His warmth. That same warmth I felt on his birthday, the day I landed on Etis for the first time. 'Your eyes, they're glowing. They're fire Kashi.' He spoke his voice fearful. Deisy held her head desperately trying to remember something related to this situation. The others had no idea what to do, just like me. My eyes danced with fire, while my hands were covered in frost. I looked at myself in the mirror, Ryan hugging me, towering slightly over me, and my eyes and my hands showing two different natures.

'I know. She's acquiring power.' Mat said, out of nowhere.

'Impossible brother.' Aspen exclaimed. 'She's the Queen, and she has had the same power for centuries.'

'And even if she is acquiring powers, frost is basically an opposite element to fire, it's a difficult thing to acquire without trying or knowledge. In fact, it has never happened. Fire and Ice cannot coexist. One has to destroy the other.' Cecila added to the conversation. She tried surfing the internet for earthly solutions, but I'm sure she had no luck.

'Dearest friend, this girl here Varya, she's the reason.' I could not contain my excitement when I saw Cordelia walking into my palace. My face instantly lit up just by looking at her. Her gown remained the same, literally stitched out of fluid, water-like fluid. 'It was because she was a true friend and teammate during the losing battle, the Space spirits have given you this boon, as well this curse and you must learn to regulate it. You must learn to use it to your advantage, Marvella. I'll help you.'

I went and gave her a tight hug and she reciprocated with equal longing and eagerness. 'Thank you, Cordelia. I understand now, and I'm at much more ease. I've missed you. You have no idea how much people love you and want you to be the ruling Goddess of the Great Ocean again.'

'I had to come. You were back, and Varya Das was efficient with her words. So much so, that I'm impressed. She's after all the girl who revived the Ocean Goddess now.'

I saw Varya smiling ear to ear. I could sense her excitement and happiness right from the place I stood.

'Welcome to Etis, Goddess Cordelia.' Deisy and Mr. Roy kneeled down. Everyone else followed too, including me.

She smiled back gestured everyone to get up. Deisy briefed her more coherently about the happenings in Etis in the past few months while I tried to figure out my new powers. If there was a fast-forward button somewhere for Etis, I'm sure someone has certainly pressed that. In a blink of an eye, things change. My happiness knew no bounds now, we had a supreme power with us, and Etis grew a lot stronger.

'Um, where's Veer, Karishma? That's your name now I believe, friend.'

'He, we haven't been able to get in touch with him. He had left for the Universe a long time ago, and no one knows where he is. He was apparently searching for me, but I--' I had no idea about Veer. Every time I thought about him, his beautiful eyes stared at me. It pained my heart that he wasn't present in the room with us.

'I'm sure Veer realizes his Etis needs his help, and he'll surely deliver his presence.' Cordelia said calmly. 'But as of now, we have really less time to train everyone for a fight as well as the Fallen Queen does, to master her new powers.'
