                                                                             Age 16. 2005

I was walking down the Hargreeves' corridor when I saw Klaus looking desperate in his room.

He was searching for drugs.

'Klaus' I said very serious, letting him know what he was doing was not ok. I stepped in the room.

A horror expresion was drawn on my face as I saw his. His mouth was covered in dry blood from nosebleed, he had a purple circle around his right eye end a cut on his temple.

I took a deep breath and turned serious again, closing my fists I asked: 'who did this to you?'

He gave me a sad smile as saying "there's nothing you can do now". 'I don't need you to go after them'

'Them? More than one? And you were alone?'

He didn't answer. He want back to searching his wardrobe for drugs.

I ran to the bathroom and took a first aid kit. I oblied Klaus to sit on the bed and started cleaning his wounds.

'Who were they?'

'Some sexist, homophobic assholes, on the street'

'What? And they just chose to hurt you like that?'

'No. I've seen them before. They like to sit there everyday, teasing'

'They insulted you? what did they say?'

'Just the usual'

'Well, and why is this the first time I'm hearing about this?' I asked angrily

He simply sighed.

'You came back at them, didn't you?'

'More or less...'

I relaxed my expresion and hugged the boy in front of me.

'You're all set. NOw we have to wait until they heal'

'Do you mind not telling the others? They're just gonna make fun of me for not being strong enough'

'Sure'

Children behaaaaave

That's what they say when we're together

Luther's favourite song started to play. I stood up and simulated having an imaginary micropophone as I moved my lips with the song, looking like a rock star.

And so we're running just us fast as we can

Holding into one and other's hand

Trying to get away into the night

And then you put your arms around me

Klaus stood up chuckling and made his dance move. It was basically moving like if he were a blob. I laughed hard and danced to the music.

I think we're alone now...

There doesn't seem to be anyone around

I took his hands and started turning and spining together.

I think we're alone now...

The beatin' of our hearts is the only sound

The music stopped abruptly. Probably Luther broke it. I was still smiling and chuckling. Klaus and I were still holding hands.

'Shit, what time is it?'

'About eight o'clock, I dunno'

'Shit I had a date! Well, what you gonna do?'

'You didn't tell me! Who is it?' I gossiped as he sat on the bed.

'Well his name's Mark and he's a bit older...'

'Klaus!!' I exclaimed

'Oh, well he's very nice'

'I'll decide that' I said in the "dad" mode as we both giggled.
