I arrived in the company and all eyes are on me. Walang media sa labas kaya maayos akong nakapasok. Taas noo akong naglakad at sinikap na huwag magpaapekto sa mga mapanuring tingin na pinupukol nila sa akin. Pumasok ako sa conference room, nadatnan ko si Carmi at ang mga magulang niya.
"HOME WRECKER!"
Hindi ko pinansin ang sinabi niya. Wala akong pakialam kahit pa ngumawa siya ng ngumawa sa harap ko. Umupo ako sa swivel chair, tahimik lang ang mga magulang niya habang pinagmamasdan ako.
"What's this meeting all about, Mr. Sandlers?"
"We're withdrawing the contract, Ms. delos Reyes". Tiim bagang na sabi niya sa akin. Napakibit balikat ako bilang tugon sa kanya.
"May I know the reasons why do you want to withdraw the contract?" alam ko na naman ang rason pero gusto ko parin itanong sa kanya kasi gusto ko na manggaling ito sa kanya mismo.
"You're really asking me that as if you didn't do anything?" natawa ako sa sinabi niya na mas lalong nagpatiim ng bagang niya.
"I don't know what you're talking about, Mr. Sandler". Sasagot na sana ito ng biglang sumigaw si Carmi.
"You're an itchy-bitchy-slutty-home wrecker-harlot woman!!"
"Ouch..that hurts!" pauyam na sagot ko kay Carmi saka ako tumawa ng malakas.
"I didn't expect you will do this. I respected you a lot and this is what we will get. We will return your money and we will terminate the contract, Ms. delos Reyes. I don't want someone with very poor reputation to handle my company".
"MY.COMPANY. Mr. Sandler". Pagtatama at pagbibigay diin ko sa huling sinabi niya. "I'm already the owner of what you called YOUR COMPANY. Let me remind you that the contract you have signed is irrevocable. There's no way you can change or revise the contract". Tahimik lang na nagmamasid si Mrs. Sandler sa amin. Hindi siya makaimik at mas lalong hindi rin siya mapakali.
"FUCK YOU!!" sigaw ulit ni Carmi sa akin.
"I did. Thanks to your husband, he's really amazing in bed". Nanlaki ang mga mata ng magulang niya ng marinig ang sinabi ko. Mas lalong sumama ang timpla ng mukha ni Carmi ng marinig niya ang sinabi ko.
"Ms. delos Reyes. We will return the money but we will be terminating the contract. We don't want to do business with you anymore. Please grant our request". Mahinahong pakiusap niya.
"Okay. Well, since you've been good to me. I can go ahead and terminate the contract". Biglang tumayo si Mrs. Sandler at napasigaw. Nawala ang composure niya na kinagulat ni Carmi at ng asawa niya.
"No! Don't terminate the contract".
"Honey"..
"But mom--"
"Go ahead, Mrs. Sandler, tell your family what is our agreement". I'm starting to love the show. Para akong nanonood ng isang palabas.
"The reason why I want to set an appointment because I want a proposal. I want to revise the contract that we've signed". Nakatanggap ako ng tawag sa secretary ko na gusto daw humingi ng appointment ni Mrs. Sandler sa akin kaya ito ako ngayon kausap siya sa isang cafe na malapit lang sa kompanya.
"I really want to withdraw the contract but since there's no way I can't change it. I want to propose something".
"Go on, Mrs. Sandler".
