2//Chat Noir

It has been a rough day. Drama Queen was difficult to defeat, especially when they noticed she also had a Sentimonster. Those keep showing up more often, almost every attack is accompanied by a Sentimonster now.
Marinette is standing on her balcony, looking at the bright stars.

"Tikki, I don't know how much longer I can keep this up. I'm so tired." She says, yawning loudly.

"I'm sure it-" Tikki starts, but she doesn't finish her sentence and hides in Marinette's jacket. Marinette figures her mom or dad has shown up and she turns around to talk to them. But she's surprised when she sees a black cat with blonde hair and green eyes.

"Chat Noir?"

"Good evening, Marinette."

Marinette is freaking out. Why is Chat Noir visiting her? Has he figured out she is Ladybug? That would be a disaster! Last time he knew her name, he became Chat Blanc and almost caused the end of the world!

"Chat Noir. What are you doing here?" Marinette asks, trying not to freak out in front of him.

"I just wanted to talk to you, are you okay with that?" He asks as a gentleman. He has his way with words that makes Marinette say "Sure." without thinking it through.

"Great!" He says, sitting down next to Marinette. But then he keeps quiet, which makes the situation even more awkward. Marinette looks panicking at Tikki in her jacket, who shrugs.

"So, what do you wanna talk about?" Marinette starts the conversation.

"I don't know how you keep doing it." Chat says, which makes Marinette's heart beat more loudly.

"Doing what?" She asks with a high pitched voice.

"Escaping akuma attacks." Marinette keeps quiet, she has no idea where this conversation is headed. "You hold the mouse miraculous, I've seen it with my own two eyes. But you weren't stung when Queen Wasp attacked because you weren't an opponent I had to fight. You weren't at the Eiffel Tower where I left you when Befana attacked. And today, you weren't in the classroom when Drama Queen attacked." Chat elaborates.

Marinette is relieved yet scared. If he noticed all that, how long will it take for him to notice that Ladybug and Marinette are never at the same place at the same time?

"I thought I could never wear the Mouse Miraculous anymore, since you knew my identity." Marinette says, trying to stay focused. She can't say too much or she might reveal her identity. But if she doesn't say enough, he might not believe her.

"I know more identities of the Miraculous holders. Ryuko's, for example." Chat says, thinking of Kagami. His love for her went so easy and quickly, too quickly to know if it's truly love.

"I'm not the only one fleeing akuma attacks. Adrien, an amazing boy in my class, also managed to get out today." She says to change the topic of the conversation before it gets too complicated. Chat hides his blushing, did Marinette just say he was awesome? Yet, if she noticed that, maybe she'll notice that Chat Noir and Adrien are the same person, he can't let that happen!

"That's a model, right? I met him once or twice. He's seems- nice."

"He's more than nice! He's handsome, amazing and smart." She can never open up to Chat Noir as Ladybug, but it feels good to do it as Marinette, she trusts this cat with everything. Chat Noir hides his blush by turning away from Marinette,

"You really think all of that?" He asks.

"Yeah, he's amazing. I couldn't stand him the first time we met, because I thought he was putting gum on my seat. But since he handed me an umbrella, I-" Marinette starts, "Never mind. It must sound silly if you weren't there."

"Well, I've got to go. I might see you again soon, pur-incess." Chat Noir says, he makes a bow, jumps off the balcony and makes his way over the rooftops to his own house.

"What was that all about?" Marinette asks Tikki, who comes flying out of her jacket.

"I don't know, Marinette." Tikki lies, she can't tell her she just confessed her feelings for Adrien to Adrien without revealing his secret identity.

"Do you think he might be jealous? He acted all weird once I started talking about Adrien."

"You know Chat Noir is in love with Ladybug, he couldn't possibly be jealous." Tikki says.

"I guess we'll never know why he acted so strange then. Good night, Tikki." Marinette says, walking back to her room.

"Good night Marinette."

A few blocks away, at the Agreste mansion, Chat Noir jumps into the room through his open window. "Plagg, claws in." He mumbles after which his black cat suit disappears. The blonde guy with green eyes gives his kwami some Camembert cheese and then lays down on his bed. "'Night, Plagg." He says, knowing he won't be able to get much sleep. Plagg on the other hand already left for a deep sleep.
