"Watch out, m'lady!" Chat shouts, while pushing Ladybug out of Stormy Weather's reach.

"Behind you!" Ladybug shouts, using her yo-yo to prevent the bee from stinging Chat.

"On your left!" "This way!" "Duck!" As always, Ladybug and Chat Noir protect each other in the fight, but with three extremely powerful opponents like these it's a miracle neither of them has been captured yet.

"Do you have a plan already?" Chat asks Ladybug, shielding Volpina's attack with his baton.

"Not yet, it's hard to think of one with three completely different opponents. If only we could fight them separately."

"Maybe we just need a bit of luck." Chat says, protecting Ladybug again as she can't focus on the fight when she's thinking of a plan.

"You're right, that might be our only option, lucky charm!" Ladybug shouts, receiving a watch. She looks around, searching for any way to use it, but can't think of any.

"I don't know what to do, Chat." She says.

"I will cover you. Just try to figure it out, I know you will." Chat says, fighting hard to protect himself and Ladybug.

Ladybug is panicking, why can't she figure it out? Her miraculous beep and she knows one minute already passed, yet she sees no way of using it.

"We have to retreat, Chat." She tells her partner.

"Retreat? But we never-" "I know we never retreat, and we won't give up, I just need more time to figure this out. Use your cataclysm on the ground as a distraction so we can escape to a safer place." Ladybug whispers quietly so only Chat can hear her. He nods and does exactly as he is told. The floor cracks and all akumatized victims get distracted by the mess it makes. It buys the superheroes enough time to flee to a safe alley.

Ladybug hasn't stopped looking around for a way to use her lucky charm, but she didn't find anything.

"Maybe you can think of a way to use it." She tells Chat, it's a small cry for help. She has absolutely no clue how to use it. Chat takes over the watch and starts looking around, he plays with the watch in his hand while doing so, yet he can't find a way of using it either. Luckily, he turns it the right angle and Ladybug notices an important clue.

"What's that?" She asks, taking the watch once again, there's a little rabbit engraved in the watch, you can hardly see it. Ladybug knows what to do now but she also knows what it will cost.

"Come with me." She says, swinging her yo-yo.

"Okay, but where are we going?" Chat asks, following his lady by extending his stick.

"To my house." She says, which extremely confuses Chat.

"What do you mean 'my house', I'm not supposed to know your identity and I might if I know where you live." He complains, he knows Ladybug is the guardian now and she can make sure they don't have to give up their miraculouses if they know each other's identities, but it still doesn't feel right.

"Except you won't know where I live. If I succeed, we'll forget all that has happened today." Ladybug answers again.

"Just calm down, don't do anything we'll regret later. Why don't you tell me what's going?" Chat says, taking Ladybug by her hand to make sure she doesn't swing off again.

Ladybug keeps quiet, a tear rolling down her face, she doesn't want to forget this day, she doesn't want any of this. Today was perfect, if it wasn't for HawkMoth ruining everything. Her life is such a roller coaster!

"Are you calm? Now tell me, why do you want to reveal where you live now, what is your lucky charm telling you?" Chat asks again. Ladybug can't take it any longer, she breaks down and tells her partner in her broken voice

"Don't you get it? We're gonna fail, we'll lose this battle!" Chat keeps quiet, he doesn't get it at all. He has never seen Ladybug like this, so insecure and afraid, the opposite of what she's usually like. "I got this lucky charm, a watch with a rabbit engraved on it, I can only prevent the events from happening today by using the rabbit miraculous, but it means we will erase this day from existence!"

Chat nods, processing what's going on and what's bound to happen. "Okay, so where do you live?" He asks after half a minute. Ladybug smiles, not because she's happy, but because she knows she can always count on her partner.

They run over the rooftops and arrive at the Dupain-Cheng bakery without being seen by an akuma.

"You live- here?" Chat asks confused, as far as he knows, Marinette is an only child, does that mean she indeed is Ladybug?

"Yeah, it's pretty nice, don't you think?" Ladybug goes into her room through her balcony and Chat follows her.

"You're Marinette-" He says doubting, waiting for some kind of confirmation.

"Spots off." Ladybug says, her suit disappears and the clumsy and shy bluenette stands in front of him. You can see the confused yet relieved look on his face, he must be dreaming, is this really happening? Marinette walks towards the gramophone, opens it with the code and the miraculous box appears. Marinette picks the rabbit miraculous and Fluff, the rabbit kwami, appears. Marinette gives Tikki a cookie and transforms into Ladybug again.

"Tikki, Fluff, unify."

Marinette rips off a piece of paper and starts writing a letter to her past self, this day might have been the best day in her life, she went to the movies with Adrien! She isn't looking forward to forgetting all of that, but she doesn't have a choice.

"I'll deliver this letter to my past self and — if I'm right — we won't remember anything." Marinette creates a portal to go back to this morning, but Chat stops her from leaving.

"If we forget everything that has happened today, can I please tell you who I am too, it seems only fair." Ladybug nods, it won't make a difference anyway.

"Plagg, claws in." The black cat suit disappears and the blond model stands in front of her. Marinette stands there, looking at her crush for over a minute. She can't believe it's him, she can't believe she has a crush on Chat and that Adrien likes her back. She's also relieved, they love each other, even if they don't know it yet.

"I'm glad it's you." Marinette says, she walks up to Adrien and kisses him on his lips "Because Adrien is the reason Ladybug kept rejecting Chat."

She steps through the portal to leave the letter for her past self to read. By doing that, she erases her own reality, the reality where she knew her partner's identity, the reality where she kissed her crush, the perfect reality.

She can only hope everything will work out in this new reality, so this sacrifice will not be in vain.
