25//detention

After lunchtime, they only have three classes left, but five of the classmates cannot focus on anything that is being said in any of those classes. Alya, Nino, Alix and Adrien all worry about the fight that is coming, they don't know anything except the fact that Ladybug has to speak with them. Marinette is not only worried about the fight, but she still has to think of a way to reject Adrien's offer to go to the movies. When their last class — chemistry — starts, and Marinette gets paired up with Adrien for a small exercise, she sees it as the perfect opportunity.

"Hey Adrien, can I talk to you?" She starts, she tries her best not to stutter.

"Sure, what is it?"

"I don't think today is the best day to go to the movies together. I have detention and I don't want you to wait for me until I'm done." Adrien totally forgot he was supposed to go to the movies with Marinette after Alix told him Ladybug wanted to meet up.

"If you say so, maybe not. But I promise you we will go another day." Adrien says.

Marinette smiles "Sounds good." They both blush and get back to work. They manage to finish the exercise before the class ends and when it ends, everyone leaves.

Detention will take place until exactly 5 PM, so Marinette needs to be fast to arrive on top of the school in time. When she enters the detention classroom, she notices that Chloé and Aurore are there too. She knows they will get akumatised today and she can't do anything about that, but she wonders why they're here, especially Chloé, she usually calls her father to get out of detention.

"What are you guys here for?" She asks, sitting down next to Aurore.

"Someone-" Aurore starts to answer, but Chloé immediately interrupts her.

"None of your business, Dupain-Cheng!" Marinette wants to stand up for herself, but she doesn't want to make Chloé even more angry than that she already is, that will only result in a harder fight later this day.

"It was a girl with olive green eyes and long, hip-length brown hair with bangs who lied to get us in detention. I believe she's in your class." Aurore whispers so Chloé can't hear her. Marinette immediately knows who she's referring to. Of course it's Lila, she's been working with HawkMoth all along, and all this time Marinette thought Lila was 'just a victim' like all others.

Aurore and Marinette talk a bit with each other until mister Damocles walks in, causing the detention to starts. Marinette finished her homework in class already, so she starts sketching in her sketchbook. She doesn't have a lot of inspiration for any clothing, so she starts drawing people. It started of as people in her class, but she ended up with drawing all heroes in action. Her and Chat Noir up front. Rena Rouge, Carapace, Bunnyx, Viperion and even more behind them. She even drew Master Fu, which made her emotional. She still misses him, he was like a third parents figure to her, she didn't have to lie to him about anything, he was supportive and believed in her. After all this time, she still blames herself for him losing his memories.

After a while, the detention finally ends. Marinette is the first to leave, she already sees Chat Noir and Alix on top of the school and knows Rena Rouge and Carapace will arrive soon. She's about to find a safe place to transform when she sees Lila. Marinette knows she's up to something, something that will akumatize Chloé and Aurore. She wants to prevent that from happening, but she can see Bunnyx shake her head. Alix is right, they have to make sure the battle will happen, otherwise they'll mess up the timeline.

Marinette transforms in the toilets and then leaves through an open window to the roof. When she arrives, Rena Rouge and Carapace have found their way there too.

"Hi m'lady." Chat says, bowing for Ladybug and pressing a small kiss on her hand. Ladybug doesn't object, she's glad Chat is healed and ready to fight again.

"Hey kitty." She says, giving him a friendly hug.

When they all sit down, Ladybug starts talking. "I woke up this morning to find a letter from my future self. It was said that we will fail the upcoming fight, happening today, because we weren't prepared, that's why I gathered you." They all give her confused looks, which annoys Ladybug a bit. She doesn't have all the time in the world, yet she knows it's hard to understand, so she explains it again, more clear this time.

After a while, they all nod and understand. "So our plan is simple: my future self told me we had to take care of Stormy Weather, Queen Wasp and Volpina before they join up together, it will be easier to take them down when they're alone. Yet, it's hard as they all attack at the same time. That's where Bunnyx comes in. Every time we defeat an akuma, Bunnyx will lead us back in time to the place and date the next akuma is. That way, we can fight them at the same time. I suppose we will have to fight HawkMoth too today. So I understand if any of you want to back out, especially Rena Rouge and Car-"

"No way were missing this. Like you said, this will most likely be our last mission, so we better make it count." Rena Rouge says reassuring, Carapace nods.

"Good, make sure you have enough food for you kwami, and meet me here when you're ready."

It only takes fifteen minutes until everyone has made it back, Ladybug went to get a few other miraculouses from the miracle box, just in case. When everyone is gathered at top of the school again, they wait for the akuma alert to go off. It's a long and silent wait, everyone is preparing themselves for the fight in their own way.

"It has started." Ladybug says after a while, she just saw the news on her yo-yo.

"Are all of you ready?" She asks, everyone nods.

"Then let's win this fight and get rid of HawkMoth once and for all. After today, he will never hurt anyone ever again!"
