"Spots off. Claws in." Ladybug says, a red and green light surrounds her and two kwamis appear.

"You shouldn't have used the wish." Tikki says, but she can't be mad.

"I know, I'm sorry. I just didn't see any other option." Marinette says, her muscles aren't moving, she's shaking from her toes to her head.

"Why don't you sit down and wait until you've calmed down a bit." Tikki says when she notices Marinette is in complete shock. Tikki gets a macaroon from Marinette's bag and gives it to her "Eat up, you need it more than I do." Marinette takes a bite out of the macaroon.

"Thanks Tikki, but I think we need to go home now. My mom and dad must be worried sick. And Adrien, I can't even imagine how he's feeling right now, I have to be there for him." Marinette says, standing up again.

"Are you sure? I want to see Adrien as much as you do, but you're still shaking badly and-"

"I'm fine Plagg, really. I just want to get home." She says, walking towards her home with small steps.

Every part of her body feels like it's stabbed with a knife, and every step she takes hurts more and more, but she eventually manages to get home. She opens the door and her mom and Adrien are in the room, she wonders where her dad is, but she's sure they will tell her. As soon as Marinette's mom sees her, she runs up to her and hugs her.

"Are you okay? I was so scared something bad happened, don't ever scare me like that ever again!" The hug is tight and warm.

"I'm okay, really. It looks worse than it is." Marinette says.

"Marinette? What happened to you?" Adrien asks, their eyes meet and she knows she has to work things out with him and tell him everything, including her identity.

"Can I talk to you in private?" She says directly at Adrien, who is surprised she doesn't stutter a word.

"Yeah, sure."

They don't talk until they're up in Marinette's room. "First of all, are you okay? With your dad and everything." She asks him, he shrugs

"I actually don't know if I'm okay. I should be crying and mourning because of what happened, but I feel numb compared to that. But that doesn't matter right now, I'll be fine, what happened to you?"

Marinette suddenly starts laughing, it's the stress she's had for the last week that she can finally let go of.

"Silly kitty, you still haven't figured it out, have you?" This confuses Adrien even more, did she figure it out too, how? "I'll just give this back and maybe you'll remember who wore it today." She says, handing him the ring. Adrien doesn't know how to feel, a lot of thoughts are steaming through is brain.

"It's you, isn't it? After all this time, after all the time you've convinced me it couldn't possibly be you, it was you." Marinette nods. "But how did you survive? I saw the explosion on TV, you were still inside, the building collapsed om top of you, how-"

"Let's not talk about how, just be happy that I did." Marinette says, Adrien smiles and hugs Marinette.

"I am happy."

"You can stay here and talk with Plagg and Tikki for a bit, I'm gonna change clothes and clean my wounds." Marinette says, walking off to the bathroom.

Adrien stays behind, unsure what he's supposed to feel, he doesn't really have time to figure that out anyway. Plagg comes flying towards him and hugs his cheek as tight as he can.

"Plagg, I was scared I lost you!" Adrien says.

"Me too, I'm glad that's not the case." Plagg says, patting his back.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Adrien, I saw you a lot of course, but I don't think I've introduced myself yet, I'm Tikki."

"Hi Tikki, it's nice to meet you too."

The three of them talk for a bit until Tom comes rushing into the room, Plagg and Tikki are able to hide just in time.

"Where's Marinette?" He asks concerned.

"She's in the bathroom, I'm sure she'll be here any second." Adrien responds, not sure if he should tell him about the bruises and cuts, he decides it's up to Marinette to tell him if she wants to.

"Mind if I wait here with you?" Tom asks, Adrien doesn't mind.

"You look a lot better than when Ladybug brought you in, are you feeling any better too?" Adrien nods.

"I do feel better actually, thanks for asking." Adrien didn't know he needed this much company in his life until he got it. He got his lady, his kwami, the best friends he could've ever wished for and two parents that care about him, even though they're not his real parents.

His dad was found fleeing the scene a few hours ago and is now locked up in jail with Natalie, he's allowed to visit them anytime he wants, but he doesn't feel like he's up to it yet, he will visit when he's ready. He stays with the Dupain-Cheng family until they've found a family that wants to adopt him. Until then, their life goes on as usual, as if nothing has happened. They didn't tell the world that Ladybug survived the explosion, they think it's better if Paris is kept in the dark of the fact that she did. As for the miraculouses, Chat Noir retrieved them from their last owners and stores them safely with Marinette. Unfortunately, they still miss one miraculous: no one has seen Nooroo since the day of HawkMoth's downfall, the butterfly miraculous is lost once again.

No one will know that Ladybug survived that day, and it's okay, because if you look up in the night sky at the right time at the right place, you might see a glimpse of Chat Noir and his lady running over the rooftops once again, just like old times.
