After the long car ride, they arrive at the camping place. It's in the woods a few miles outside of Paris. Of course, everyone else in their class arrived before Adrien and Marinette did, but every single one of them decided to wait for them before unpacking their bags.

"So, how did it go?" Alya asks Marinette while they unpack their stuff together.

"How did what go?" Marinette asks.

"The ride with Adrien of course!"

"Oh, it was... nice." She says, blushing heavily again.

"You have to tell me all the details, girl!"

"Nothing has really happened. I mean, he looked at a few of my designs and I managed to say a whole sentence without stuttering twice, but that's all."

Alya gives her that look, she's not buying it. "He hasn't taken his eye off of you since you arrived, there's no way you've told me everything."

"I did! You know you'd be the first to know if something ever happens between us." Alya raised her eyebrows, still not buying it, but doesn't continue asking.

After they've had half an hour to unpack their stuff, Miss Bustier calls the class together. "As you all know, we're having a three-days field trip starting today. I know you all think it's gonna be three days full of fun and I — of course — really want everyone to have a good time. Yet, I don't want you all to forget about the project. It isn't a project you have to do a presentation about, but I want you all to reconnect with one another. I've noticed this class has been drifting apart, especially since the last time Chloé got akumatised. I really hope this field trip will help you all to reconnect with each other once again." Miss Bustier has always been the reason this class is like a family to each other and her looking out for them after all that's happened means a lot to everyone. Of course, no one really looks forward to 'reconnecting' with Chloé after all she's done, but Marinette is happy Lila decided to stay home, she wouldn't want to connect with her.

"We're gonna start this field trip with an escape 'room'. There are different tasks set out in the woods that you have to pass as a team. I will not tell you guys anything more than that you have to trust each other to succeed." Everyone starts talking. Some people are excited while others don't seem to find the joy. "We're starting in fifteen minutes, make sure you're ready by then. You don't need any belongings, so leave your phones, bags and robot-" Miss Bustier gives Max a look. "-in the tent."

Alya keeps complaining that she can't take her phone with her, but Marinette tries to think of something that allows her to take her purse — and Tikki — with her.

"I won't leave you." Marinette says when she's found a few moments on her own with Tikki.

"It's okay, you're not allowed to take me with you. I'll stay here and if there's an akuma attack in Paris, I'll come and find you." Tikki says.

"Okay." Marinette says after thinking it through. She doesn't want to leave Tikki, but she doesn't have a choice right now.

The class leaves for the woods, Miss Bustier leads them to the first task. "You guys are on your own from here on, good luck." She says, leaving the class to open the first task.

Alya opens the letter and reads out loud "People have been disappearing in these woods, that's why a detective team has come together to solve this mystery. You are the detectives, but be careful for you may disappear too."

"Cool, a mystery!" Kim says happily.

"It's just a stupid story, there's no real mystery." Chloé says.

"It's just a bit of fun, Chloé, no need to get annoyed." Adrien says, while others nod. "Now, who's ready to find some clues?!"

Everyone starts searching for clues; behind a tree, under a heap of leaves, Kim even climbed into a tree, which resulted in him falling down right on top of Chloé.

"I found something." Marinette says, walking towards the class with a piece of paper and a pawn in her hand. "What does it say?" Adrien asks her, which of course results in Marinette stuttering

"I, ma'am Diamonds, was with mister Clovers the night mister Hearts disappeared. I haven't seen ma'am Spades or mister Triangle anywhere." Now she notices that the pawn she found with the card is a red pawn with a diamonds symbol on its chest.

"Oh great, Ma'am Diamonds, Mister Hearts, looks like we're stuck in toddler-land!" Chloé ruins the moment again.

"This whole field trip is to get us closer, can you at least try like the rest of us, Chloé?!" Marinette shouts. It's her confident self, Adrien notices. If only she could be this confident more often.

"I will never be friends with you, Dupain-Cheng. Or with any loser in this class, you're all losers, except for my Adrikins." Chloé says, hugging Adrien and trying to kiss him, but he pushes her off of him.

"I don't like your attitude, Chloé, no one in this class likes it. Or haven't you noticed you're the only reason we're on this field trip. We're all close except for you."

In a matter of time, everyone verbally attacks Chloé, even Sabrina lets out a few bad words against her. None of them notice Miss Bustier falling onto her knees, sobbing quietly. She tried her best to make this escape room fun for everyone, but she failed. She picks up the diamonds-pawn and a few moments later, a black butterfly finds its way on it.

"Ma'am Diamonds, I am HawkMoth. They don't want to do your well-planned escape? You will make sure they will, I do ask for one thing in return."

"Ladybug and Chat Noir's miraculous, I'll deliver."
