Marinette has been busy finding clues about HawkMoth all weekend, but she hasn't found anything yet. She went to see Alya and Nino, as Ladybug of course, to get their miraculouses. They comforted her and told her they'd do anything to help find Chat Noir. Alya posted a message on her LadyBlog asking everyone who might know anything to message her. But — as suspected — no one seems to know anything. At home, her mom and Tikki help her find all the clues they can. Watching camera footage from all fights in case there's something they missed, but since HawkMoth hardly ever shows up on scene, there's nothing they can find.

It's Sunday now and they have searched all weekend just to find nothing useful. "This is hopeless!" Marinette says, her eyes stinging with tears again, there has to be something she can do. She can't just sit here and wait for a miracle to happen.

"We'll find something soon, I know we will." Tikki says encouraging.

"You said that three days ago, but we still know nothing."

"Today will be different, let's keep trying, we haven't watched all footage yet." Marinette nods, she can't give up, Chat Noir wouldn't give up on her either, that's how their friendship works and that's how it will always work.

"Here, eat up." HawkMoth speaks to his prisoner, it kills him to see his son this way. Adrien shoves the plate with food and water away without saying a word.

"You have to eat something, you haven't eaten or slept since you've arrived, it's been almost three days."

"I don't care. I'd rather die than do anything you want me to do." HawkMoth starts to get angry, even though Adrien doesn't know it, it's still his dad who he's talking back to!

"Fine, rot in this cell for as long as you live. I wonder how Ladybug will feel when she learns that her dearest partner died due to hunger and fatigue. She'll feel enough negative emotions for me to akumatise her and then her miraculous will be mine, thanks to you." HawkMoth says, he never thought it would come to threatening his own son, but he's too far in it to stop now.

"My lady is strong enough, she won't get akumatised by you because it's your fault if I die." Adrien says, turning his back to HawkMoth.

Hawk Moth leaves, he can't do anything to change his son's mind, but he can't let him die either.

"Nathalie." He speaks when he arrives on the first floor of the Agreste mansion again.

"Yes?" She asks.

"How can I let Adrien eat something?"

"I don't know, he doesn't trust HawkMoth, so he won't do anything he says." Nathalie answers.

"If you're suggesting that I go see him as myself, it's out of the question."

"But you wanted to tell him you're HawkMoth before-"

"I said it's out of the question. If you can't think of anything better, then don't say anything at all." Nathalie cares a lot about Gabriel and she knows he cares about Adrien, so she has to come up with other ideas to help him.

"You can let his kwami bring the food, he might eat if it's someone he knows and cares about brings it." Gabriel pauses to think, it might be a good idea. Gabriel can prevent the kwami from spilling anything about his identity by simply forbidding it.

Gabriel opens the safe hidden behind the portret and takes out the cat miraculous. Plagg comes flying out, confused by why he has been summoned and even more confused by the persons standing in front of him. He wants to speak, but Gabriel says "Silence." Plagg can't open his mouth anymore.

"You're going to bring food to Adrien and you'll make sure he eats it. You won't say anything about mine or Nathalie's identity." It hits Plagg like a brick, Adrien's dad has been HawkMoth all this time. That's why he had the book and that's why he never leaves his house, it all makes sense now. Plagg nods and Gabriel tells him he may speak again. He gives Plagg some food and orders to bring it to Adrien

"Can I get some Camembert for him too?" Plagg asks, he's got an idea.

"Camembert?" Gabriel asks.

"Yes, the cheese. There's some in his room, I can quickly grab it." Gabriel allows it. If it makes his son happy, it's okay. Plagg goes to Adrien's room as fast as he can, he gets a piece of Camembert as that's what he said he would do, but he does grab something else with him, something that might allow Adrien to communicate with Ladybug. He flies back to Gabriel and Nathalie, he succeeds in hiding the extra he took with him.

"Adrien!" Plagg says, as he enters the cel alone, Gabriel and Nathalie thought it was best if he didn't see anyone except Plagg.

"Plagg? It's so good to see you." Adrien says, kindly petting his back.

"I brought some food, camembert and a surprise." He says, showing him the most important piece he brought with him: the remote he received from Ladybug when she told him she was going away, the remote that controls the small black cat toy.

"Plagg you're the best!" Adrien pets Plagg again, giving him the piece of camembert.

"You deserve this." Plagg eats it in one go but doesn't leave until Adrien finishes eating too. A few minutes after Adrien finishes, HawkMoth walks up to the cell and orders Plagg to come back, Plagg obeys and leaves Adrien alone. Adrien feels lonely again, but not hopeless, he has the remote and a plan, he can help his partner.

Marinette walks up to her bed, it's late and after searching a lot, they still haven't found anything.

"We'll search again tomorrow after school." Tikki tries cheering her up, but it's no use.

"What if we can't find anything, what if I can't save him, it's all my fault if he doesn't survive."

"Don't say that, Chat Noir knows you're doing everything you can to save him, he trusts you." Marinette nods, turns off the lights and lays down in her bed, when she's about to close her eyes, she hears a cat sound, multiple times . She turns on the lights again, searching for the source of the sound, she finds it on her bureau where the small cat toy she gave Chat Noir a few months ago lays.

"He's trying to communicate, we have finally found a way to communicate with him!"
