julian x reader 

||plot: you've been feeling a little under the weather and julian decides he wants to bring you back into your happy spirits. so he takes you on a date around vesuvia.||

Julian knocked on the door with a bouquet of roses in one hand and a bag of chocolates portia helped make. 

you peaked out the window and blushed a little, you were in your sleepwear and didn't want julian to see you like this, but you didn't have time, and no magic would give you enough time to change. one because you didn't know the spell and two; you didn't know what you wanted to wear. you ended up sighing and opening the door with a soft blush crossed over your cheeks.

julian softly blushed seeing you, his posture straightened up and his breath caught in his throat. "y/n, even in sleepwear you still are the most beautiful thing i have ever seen. no pirate ship could compare" he smiled his goofy smile. he sort of locked eyes with you and seemed to be entranced. and for a few more seconds he came back to reality and cleared his throat, handing the flowers to you along with the bag of chocolates, you smiled and took them and stepped inside to put them down on the counter, inviting julian in as well.

as he walked in he was hit with the scent of lavender and tea. he couldn't help but smile and imagine his future with you. how you'll both be sitting by the fire laughing and having fun- or kissing your temple to reassure you how much he loves you. the thoughts were followed with a mild blush before snapping out of it once hearing your voice.

"julian? jules- are you okay? you've been dozing off quite a lot recently" you spoke, and well, you weren't wrong. julian dozed off and blushed a lot more than usual- which is saying something. you took this as a sign that maybe he had a fever?

"yes dear im alright- i think its just how beautiful you are to me." he flirted

you gently shook your head with a grin. "ill be right back" you speak and head up the stairs.

julian waited about 10 minutes before turning and hearing you walk down the stairs, looking refreshed and dressed up. no matter what you would wear, julian always found you amazing to look at- like you were an exotic bird that no one has ever seen before- you were absolutely stunning. 

"what're you staring at jules? does the outfit look weird?"

"no dear not at all- anything you put on always makes you look more beautiful."

you chuckled and walked over to him. kissing his cheek "my my my mr. Devorak,you do look ravishing this close up." 

he turned redder than blood and cleared his throat, trying to talk normally.

"uhm- y/n, i know you've been feeling under the weather and so i wanted to take you out today- just you and i, whatever you want to do, hell and if you want to just stay inside we can" he spoke lovingly.

"well how could i ever pass up your proposal to go out on a date." 

"wonderful- lets go" he basically took you by the waist and dragged you out of the shop, letting you lock it then bolting off. 

you both spent the entire day going around vesuvia and buying various things, he showed you so much love and kindness, which you returned in kisses and hugs. 

as the sun set, julian dragged you to your guys' favorite spot and you both sat down, eating pumpkin bread and drinking salty bitters. 

"y/n, there's something i desperately need to tell you. and i don't think i can hold it inside much more."

"alright what is it-don't chicken out on me either" you smiled at him 

julian took a deep sigh and nodded, seemingly finally agreeing with his head that you were in fact the one he wanted to be with forever.

"y/n, for so long, for as long as we've known each other, i've felt nothing but pure love from you, not a minute goes by that i'm lonely with you, im madly in love with every inch of you- i don't care what your body looks like now- or what it will look like tomorrow or the next day or even in 15 years. you are y/n, and i fell in love with your personality before your looks, and believe when i say that when i realized how absolutely angelic you were, your looks became a bonus, im mumbling--"

"no no- keep going jules" 

"whenever i'm around you i can't help but blush, and when i think of you, i think of the future i want to have with you, smiling and laughing and being happy together. i don't care where we're at or who we're with, you're all i'll ever want. and- because i can't really afford a beautiful ring like nadia can- i got you a promise ring with a ruby. it isn't much- or probably even as beautiful as you, but... its the thought that counts, right?" julian took out a black velvet box and opened it, revealing a ring with a nice ruby on it.

(ring above title) ( i tried finding a good gender neutral one but most of them were for females and i didn't want it to seem like the story is just for females.)

you couldn't help but smile and put the ring on, a few tears fell happily. you chuckled and wiped them away "geez im acting so sappy" you say

julian chuckled and hugged you tightly. "i love you so much y/n, i've never loved anything more than you. not even a salty bitter could compare to you"

"i love you too julian- and thank you, for loving me more than salty bitters"

"for you- id love you more than anything you want me to."

you both laughed and shared a passionate kiss. nothing bad, no sad ending, no devastating death, just you and julian, holding each other.

alright how was it? i wanted it to be cute and fuzzy and stuff. should i make a smut or a fluff as a bonus chapter? i want to but im not sure which it should be.
