Muriels POV.

Y/n and I are going in a hike with Inanna to get away from the city. Y/n's been acting... distant and hurt. It's hard for them to get out of bed without crying a little. They probably don't realize it but I hear them pouting and biting back their tears.
So I'm taking the time today to go out with them, make sure they feel the warm sun on their face and the fresh air blowing around them. They've done so much for me, so it's only fair I pay them back with this.

I decided to get a few things from the city before we headed off and went to the room to get my cloak, I saw their body deep asleep wrapped up in the blankets. It was already past 11, I really would hope they wake up feeling better. I give a smile at inanna telling her to stay with y/n in case if something happened. To which she hopped in bed and cuddled them. The sight made my heart flutter with happiness, that y/n was going to be safe and inanna was going to be warm for a good while before I get back.
I reached over to a chair and got my cloak, putting it on my shoulders I lift the hood above my face and start heading out with a bag of golden coins. I make my way through the forest with no real worry. Not long after I started to hear the sound of vesuvias music players in the distance, people loved to dance with the music so I also heard laughing. I smiled and continued my way there.

Your POV

I wake up with a warm feeling next to me and I turn my body to see what it was, I smiled in relief that it was just inanna having the nap of her life, I started to get up and she opened her eyes, seemingly full of energy as usual. I pat her head and make my way around the hut looking for Muriel, since it was so small all I had to do was look in two other rooms, but I never did find him. I slipped on my shoes and walked out side to see if he was feeding the chickens, yet again I never found him. I slightly panicked but I know Muriel wouldn't put himself in harms way. I know he's smarter than that.

I nod to myself and turn off the tap to the bath. My heart started pounding as I looked into the water, seeing a slight representation of my reflection. I step back and notice a blade meant for shaving, and i gently took it into my hands, my fingertips gently brushing alongside the sharper part of the blade.

'This is your one way ticket. Don't you wanna do this? The relief you'll feel. The happiness you'll get once you know Muriel won't have to take care of you. Do it'
My mind started to rush and I panicked, my breaths got heavier and without thinking of the more horrible thoughts I had already made four slits into the skin on my arm.
It somewhat felt like a gasp of fresh air after being in a room with 7 drunk men. I noticed the blood starting to drip down my arm but I couldn't stop now. I would be a coward.

"2 more."

"6 more."

"7 mo-"

There was a whimper at the door. I placed the blade down and hid my arm behind my back, and opened the door looking down to see inanna whimper with a worried expression I leaned down to her.
"Hello precious, hungry?"
The dog nodded and I stood up, feeling light headed, I made my way to the kitchen where I got her food and placed it in her bowl. She started to eat fairly quickly.
I started to walk back to the bathroom but leaned on the walls for balance. I shut the door but left a crack open just in case Muriel came home.
The next thing I knew I was in the tub fully clothed, soaking wet, the blood mixed with the water but it was all a haze. The look of the blood dripping from my arm made me sick.

Normal POV.

Inanna finished her food and went to go sit in the bathroom with y/n but as she entered, she noticed right away the scent and sight of blood, quickly she bolted out of the house and ran to get Muriel, following his scent.
Not long after five minutes did she reach Muriel, tugging on his cloak and soon biting his hand to lead him back home. Muriel dropped everything in his hands including the coins and ran after inanna.

Reaching the house Muriel bursted in and already smelt the blood. He looked in the bathroom and almost fell back at the sight. His y/n, laying almost lifelessly in the tub.
His clothes were no worry as he took the cloak off and wrapped you in it, hurrying you to asra for help.
Without warning Muriel quickly rushed into the shop and brought asra down. Telling him everything he knew, then telling him what inanna knew.

Asra nodded calmly and used a spell to heal the wounds and stop the bleeding, although it would leave some scars, Muriel was just happy you were healing.

"Muriel, y/n will be fine, but I need you to stay by their side for a couple of weeks or even months if that's what it takes to make them feel better. You both can stay here for the night, but I need to check up on them every so often to make sure the spell isn't causing damage. I'll have Julian come over to make sure that they are doing okay."
Muriel could only nod and looked down at y/n. Frowning softly and holding their hands tightly.
Asra sent Faust to get Julian and soon enough Julian came to check on y/n.

As the night started to begin, asra gave Muriel and y/n the guest room and asked for Julian to stay in the shop as well. Y/n laid peacefully on the bed as Muriel looked at their features.
"I don't know what I did to deserve you. You're so kind and loving, you're so.. amazing. I wish I could rid this memory from you, so that you'd never have to feel the pain you're going through again. If I could I'd take all your troubles away and make you the happiest person ever. But when you're better, you, inanna and I are going in a trip. Anywhere you want to go I'll follow. I'm always going to love you y/n... no matter the scars placed in you."

Muriel held you close and drifted off into his own sleep. You gently opened your eyes and kissed his lips "I'm sorry Muriel, I love you too.. I should've told you how I felt instead of hurting you."
Your words slightly startled Muriel as he opened his eyes and blushes brightly. "Y-you heard that?"
"Well of course I did."
His face only got redder but you kissed his cheek and lips to reassure him it was okay.

"I love you Muriel. So very much. I won't ever do this again. I promise" you lifted your pinky up and held it out for him.
"I love you too y/n, I'll do whatever I can to make you happier and to never feel that way again. I promise" he intertwined your pinky's together and kissed your forehead.

Both started to fall back asleep into your own peaceful dreams.
