1/14/15:

so for fun, i asked my dad what he would do if a guy asked me out to a dance, if it's even possible.

i thought he'd say no, because chinese parents.

to my surprise, he said, "i'd let you go. you can see what it's like."

my dad is sorta whitewashed, in case you didn't know. it's k, i'm kinda whitewashed too.

"what about mom?" my mom, however, is strictly asian and doesn't associate with america.

"don't worry, i'll go tell her for you. it's just a dance, it's not like it's dating."

;)  ;)

so technically, a guy can ask me out. if it's even possible lol. dating, haha, in my freakin dreams.

anyways, my friend had been really nice to me lately.

i've been friends with him since 5th grade, and he's a really awkward, sorta perverted (yep that's my kind of people) guy. but he's really sweet.

i go to band with him, so we have to pull and stack our own chairs for class, and he said,

"don't strain yourself."

i said, "i know."

then for some reason, he got a little frustratedish and said,

"nonono you used to say 'i won't!' with a smile on your face!"

what i dun remember doing that, but it's k.

so we were stacking chairs again, and he said, "don't strain yourself."

i put my best cheerful tone (which was difficult) and i said, "i won't!"

then he said, "you have to get the tone right elaina."

i am moderately confused.

but again, he is sweet.

i also have math with him and when i walk out of class, he'd go up to me and ask me things like

"how are you doing elaina?"

"how's life?"

sometimes, he'd talk to me online. but he always calls me "jaina". what is jaina idek.

buuuuut i don't know if he's doing all of this just to be nice, i mean, it makes my day better, but i just don't know.

but it's cool that he actually tries to talk to me during school.
