"So...That's it for this lesson. We're not gonna be meeting again until after the holidays." Harry says to everyone.
Their meeting has come to an end and they're about to have their Christmas holiday."So just keep practising on your own as best as you can. And well done, everyone. Great, great work."
They give around of applause and start leaving. Things have been going quite well these days."We've been thinking Harry..." The twins walk to Harry before they leave.
"We could always slip Umbridge some puking pastilles-"
"Or fever fudge. They give you massive, pus-filled boils-""See you later Harry."
Jessie pauses them and looks at Harry, then shifts her focus to Cho, who is currently still inside the room while everyone's leaving. She must be waiting for Harry.
She then pulls the twins away with a cheeky smile.
"You mood killers. That was too obvious. Haven't you seen how Cho looked at him?""No."
"... Oh."
"Didn't know our boy's got himself a little crush." George says and puts his arm around Jessie's shoulder.
"... We shall patiently let his interest grow. He might be quite unsure about it."Harry looks at Jessie's back. Does she think he's in love with Cho? He didn't really know if that's true. He does feel something towards her, but is it love? He has no idea.
There's something stuck in his heart these days, especially when Jessie's not here. He's almost frustrated by such feelings.
But what can he do? He's can't be in love with Jessie right??? It's quite obvious that she's dating George now."I need to tell you that I just now accidentally read your mind, Harry. I'm sorry."
She has returned to the common room later at night seeing Harry sitting alone in front of the fireplace.
"It's...It's alright." He replies with a slight smile."Did you guys..." Jessie asks cheekily while doing the kissing gesture with her two hands. He is thinking about his first kiss with Cho just now so much that Jessie couldn't help reading his mind.
"...Kind of." Harry knows there's no point lying about it in front of a legilimens.
"Congratulations~" She claps excitedly like a kid and slightly pushes him.
"Ssss I'm so freezing." she sits down next to him warming her extraordibary cold hands by nearly touching the fire. It feels like the fire is never hot enough to warm them up.
"Do you like her? Cho." She casually asks as she stares at her palms.
No one has expected this instant awkwardness attack. Harry couldn't speak out a single word, instead, he looks at the fireplace.
"...Am I not supposed to ask?"
"No, no really." Harry panicks and looks at her.The moment they look into each other's eyes, Jessie realises something she did not expect at all. A complex struggling aura of tension and fondness is surrounding Harry.
But the problem is, the aura isn't much triggered by Cho.
Jessie quickly looks away and freezes. She might have read something she shouldn't read. Does it mean that...
"How was it mate?" Ron asks as he walks in the common room with Hermione and George, seeing two of them sitting on the floor.
"He wouldn't tell me!" Jessie laughs and immediately stands up, walking to the couch with her book, pretending it's completely nothing. The awkward atmosphere is perfectly extinguished by Jessie's quick move, no one will know what has just happened. Their conversation carries on without Jessie.
Seeing her staring at the book daydreaming on the couch, George suddenly lifts her up and sits her on his laps. Fred isn't by his side again.
"You read???" He steals the book from her and closes it.
"I haven't placed the bookmark!" Jessie says without thinking, attacked by a sudden shock of fatigue."...What have you done to yourself?" George strokes Jessie's hair and grabs her chin after realising her pale face.
"Huh? What did I do?"
"You look too energetic."
She stares at him and touches her face. She didn't really do anything tiring today."Where's Fred?
"Does he excite you?"
"Oh please." She rolls her eyes and stares at him, who clearly knows that isn't what she meant.
"Does Alicia excite you?" She counterattacks George, who has been hanging out with Alicia since year one."Woah don't get me wrong mate."
"I see she excite you." She smirks and looks away.
"Now that's something really surprising." He wraps his arms around her waist and whispers into her ear."I feel so unlucky today."
"Oh yeah? It must be Fred."
"...It's so exhausting."
They both glance at her hands which are currently trembling out of reasons they don't know.
"What is it?" He grabs her cold hands as he realises her state."I thought it's Fred." She forces a smile and eventually leans onto his chest while he unties her ponytail and takes away her glasses.
George touches her forehead. No, it isn't a fever.
"...Are you having it?
He realises she looks the same as that time she had a vision. Is she going to have it here? She must feel so embarrassed.
"...Oh no, please not now" She frowns and sighs softly with her eyes closed. "Don't get scared Georgie or I'll get scared too."
"Don't YOU get scared." George hugs her tight and rubs her back while forcing out a smirk. He is actually extremely worried.
"I don't want anyone to see it."
"Mate no one's gonna look at you.""I should better get out of here before I-" Before she can finish her line, she's attacked by a sense of darkness that she uses all her strength to stand up and tries to walk away.
"You're alright?"
"...Mmhmm"
"Oi don't walk around, sit down here." He tries to pull Jessie back down the couch. Apparently she wants to run away from everyone so that no one will see her having visions, but of course George doesn't want her to walk too much."No, I think...I'm going to sleep."
"Are you alright Jessie?" Her standing up has caught Hermione's eye.
"No no no don't, it's barely a thing." She steps back and pants."Hey, hey Jess it's fine to have it here- could you just sit down first?" George tries to calm her down and grabs her arm.
She tries to stay conscious with the support of the sofa edge, but her legs finally lose their strength and she collapses with everyone watching.
