A/N Here's the second update of the double update I promised... ☺️

"Jace, for Heaven's sake, stop trying to throw knives at rubber ducks!" Alec screeched at his parabatai, who had bought several rubber ducks, lined them up against the training room wall, and was intently throwing knives at each of them.

"Alec, they are bloodthirsty beasts!" Jace said warningly and Alec placed the spear he was holding onto the floor.

"I thought we were meant to be sparring," Alec huffed.

"One more duck and I'm all yours," Jace offered and Alec shook his head in exasperation.

"Curse Clary for getting you rubber ducks on your birthday." Clary had thought it would be funny to get rubber ducks for Jace's birthday as a present and Jace had used the set Clary had bought him to practice his knife throws and since then, Jace had found an obsession with buying rubber ducks and throwing knives at them or shooting them with arrows.

"Hey! I loved Clary's present. It improves my aiming skills," Jace protested.

"Your aiming skills are fine without throwing knives at rubber ducks," Alec mumbled just as Jace threw a butterfly knife at the last duck that was lined up. Jace made a sound of accomplishment.

"There!" Jace said happily and picked up a training seraph blade (it had no magical power like an actual seraph blade but it was shaped like one). "Ready to get your ass kicked?" Jace added with a cocky wink.

"Please do stop underestimating you parabatai," Alec told Jace and lunged. Taken off-gaurd, Jace fell back, Alec on top of him.

"Hey! No fair! I was distracted," Jace said.

"Well a demon won't give a crap if you are distracted or not," Alec countered and rolled side-ways, giving enough room for Jace to get back up. And then Alec charged again. Time went so fast when training or sparring. When the brothers stopped training, it was seven in the evening and Alec was meant to get to the loft at 7. Quickly excusing himself, Alec had a shower before asking Clary for a Portal to the loft.

Magnus heard a Portal open in the sitting room and went over from the kitchen into the sitting room. And Alec was there. Magnus crossed his arms and pretended to be angry. Alec, of course, saw right through it but played along anyway.

"Magnus, are you mad?" Alec asked softly.

"Well you are late," Magnus grumbled.

"Sorry, I was training with Jace. It took a while to get him away from the rubber ducks," Alec explained, a grin threatening to break out. Magnus forgot his pretend anger for a second and looked at Alec, one of his eyebrows raised.

"He still does the thing with the rubber ducks?" Magnus asked, astounded.

"Unfortunately so," Alec said and Magnus' eyes went stormy again.

"I ordered some pizza, but since you are late, I suppose I'll eat it by myself," Magnus mused. Alec walked over to his boyfriend with a smile and interlinked their fingers. Pretend to be mad or not, Magnus would not refuse a loving touch from his angel.

"Would a kiss help you be less mad?" Alec inquired, his voice swallowed and deep. Magnus smiled a tiny bit.

"Well..." The warlock said but he was already leaning down and Alec was leaning up. Their lips met and Magnus forgot to be pretend-angry, only kissed Alec back feverishly. Alec pulled back, a teasing grin on his face.

"Pizza?"

"Alexander Gideon Lightwood," Magnus smiled, "Here I was thinking you kissed me because you loved me. But turns out it's for the pizza."

"I'm hungry!" Alec cried and Magnus laughed before composing himself and huffing.

"Well fine," Magnus said, "You can have half."

Alec whooped and Magnus gave up his pretend-anger for good, drawing Alec towards him and kissing the Shadowhunter thoroughly breathless.

"Still want pizza?" Magnus murmured in Alec's ear.

"Wait - what? What's this got to do with pizza?" Alec asked, disentangling himself from Magnus. Magnus wanted to face-palm at Alec's innocence.

But instead, he said: "I thought after that kiss, you might decide I was a better meal option and that we'd go to the bedroom rather than the dining room."

Realisation bloomed on Alec at the same time as his blush.

"Oh," Alec said, "Oh." Magnus grinned.

"Can we still have pizza?" Alec asked sheepishly.

"Ugh, fine," Magnus groaned and tugged Alec to the dining room where a box of pizza lay untouched.

"Half and only half," Magnus reminded Alec.

"But I was training and-"

"This is your punishment for being late. Half and only half," Magnus repeated, "And I will not magic more pizza," he added. With a playful sigh, Alec pulled out a piece of pizza and started eating it, relishing in the taste of pepperoni and extra-cheese.

"Well if you won't magic up more food, I might just sleep on the couch today," Alec threatened, but it was with a playful and soft voice.

"You wouldn't dare," Magnus said.

"Oh yes I would."

"Okay, okay, I'll magic up more pizza when we finish what we already have."

Alec smiled at Magnus and leaned over and kissed him.

"Is that a promise?" Alec asked.

"Yes," Magnus said with a mock-defeated sigh.

"Good, good," Alec said happily and went onto devouring the rest of the pizza. After all, he might need the energy later on in the evening.

A/N I'll let you decide what energy-consuming activity Alec does later on in the evening 😉 Anyway, I hope you enjoyed! Comment, vote and share, please! Makes my day a lot better!

Love, IC XXXXX❤️🥰
