A/N Just a little prewarning: there is going to be a rude word in this one-shot.

"Yep, got it," Alec said through the phone to his parabatai, Jace. "And because it's a warlock, shouldn't a High Warlock be there? High Warlock of Brooklyn or High Warlock of Jersey?"

"Yeah, Clary and I spoke about it to the Clave official and he granted permission for one warlock to be there. Clary and I thought Magnus could come?" Jace suggested.

"Will explain it to him and ask him, brother," Alec answered, "Take care, bye!"

"Bye," Jace said back, "See you tomorrow."

Not two seconds passed after the phone hit the bedside table. Alec was on top of Magnus again and Magnus was kissing the spot behind Alec's ear; the one he knew Alec enjoyed being kissed at.

"Magnus," Alec said, and it came out strained and swallowed for Magnus was now intently kissing Alec's neck.

"Can we talk later?" Magnus murmured, "We already got rudely iterrupted by your brother's phone call, and I have just been dying to have you to myself for a night."

"This'll take a minute and then I'm all yours," Alec managed without Magnus distarcting him. The seriousness in his voice made Magnus sit up against the headboard. Alec curved himself into Magnus' arms and pulled the covers up.

"A warlock has been kidnapping mundane children and injecting them with different poisons to see if he can breed a race of warlocks without a demon having to have a child with a mundane. But this has been killing a lot of mundane children. Jace and Clary caught him when they were on Patrol and when reported to the Clave, they have decided that a few Heads of Institutes and the Shadowhunters responsible for New York will have a meeting tomorrow to judge a suitable punishment for the warlock. And because it's a warlock gone rogue, I was wondering whether you'd be okay to come and put forwards your thoughts as well? It'd just be fairer to have warlock representative, so, what do you say?"

"I say that I'll happily come, because I'd like to say a few - not nice - words about this horrendous warlock, but most Shadowhunters won't be pleased with that," Magnus answered. Alec gave a sheepish smile.

"Yeah, well, Jace and Clary have managed to persude the other Shadowhunters to have one warlock present. It'll probably be you or High Warlock of Jersey," Alec explained.

"Ditching me for the High Warlock of Jersey, I see," Magnus teased and Alec grinned.

"Definitely," Alec said sarcastically before turning serious. "So will you come to the meeting to tomorrow?"

"I suppose so," Magnus mused, "Afterall, my boyfriend is threatening to ditch me for a warlock from Jersey."

"Magnus," Alec said, with a superior grin, "The High Warlock of Jersey is a woman. I happen to be gay."

"Oh," said Magnus, "Well in that case, I'll come to put forward my thoughts on an idiotic warlock."

"Okay then," Alec said before smiling a teasing smile, "So, I won't have to call the very attractive High Warlock of Jersey?"

"No," Magnus confirmed before pulling Alec into a kiss, carrying on where they left off before Jace's call.

The next morning, Alec woke up in Magnus' arms and gently, Alec tugged the warlock awake.

"Imortant meeting..." Alec started.

"...About a stupid warlock," Magnus finished before giving Alec a 'good morning' kiss. With that, both of them took turns showering and Magnus magicked up some breakfast before creating a Portal and both of them went through, head held high, and hands interlinked.
