Bunny - Blueberry?

Kenny smiled dreamily at Butters, as the small boy hummed to himself, sending a calming melody through the shop as he finished arranging a flower display. The evening sunlight bathed the room in a golden hue, reminding Kenny that it was almost closing time, which made him sigh happily. He loved working at their shop, but he loved having alone time with Leo even more. " Sir...Sir.. SIR?" A womans voice snapped him out of his trance, looking over to her and smiling apologetically.  " Sorry, I was distracted, do you need me to help you with anything?" He offered politely. The woman giggled, looking over and realising that Kenny had been staring at the other shop worker. " You really like him huh?" She smiled, causing Kenny to turn red, looking away and laughing it off. " How did you know?" He chuckled, smiling back at her. " I saw the way you were looking at him. I dont think Ive ever seen someone look at anything with that much adoration, almost didn't want to interrupt." She admitted, making Kenny remember that she did in fact need something. " Oh! Speaking of, what was it that you needed?" Kenny realised. "I just wanted to know whether you sell violets is all, im thinking of buying some for my garden." She asked happily. Butters finished arranging the display, turning around and noticing that Kenny was speaking to someone. He tilted his head, noticing the blush on Kennys face as he laughed with the customer, handing her a packet of seeds and some violets. He bit his cheek, sighing sadly as a pang of jealousy hit him. He had figured that Kenny would find a girlfriend at some point, but now that he was picturing it happening he felt worse than he thought he would. The bell above the door chimed as the woman left the shop, giving Kenny a wink and mouthing what looked like " good luck". Butters shook his head, instantly forgetting the unpleasant feeling in his stomach when Kenny caught his eyes, flashing him a toothy grin. He smiled back, walking up to the counter. " Ready to close up?" Kenny asked happily, leo looking up towards the clock and nodding in response. " Want me to make that tea we got today?" Butters smiled, remembering their accidental shopping spree during their lunch break. " Tea sounds amazing butterfly" Kenny sighed happily, walking to leo and kissing his head before going to turn the sign around on the door. Butters blushed, biting his lip and trying to stop the huge smile spreading across his face as he touched where Kenny had kissed with his fingers. " Ooh, wanna do the hair dye yet?" Kenny asked thoughtfully, Leo nodding enthusiastically. He had loved the pink tips that Kenny dyed in his own hair, and when he had seen the blue dye earlier, he knew that he wanted to match. " I'll make the tea while you get everything ready?" Butters offered as Kenny came back over to him. " Good idea" Kenny grinned, walking up the stairs to their apartment above the shop. " So that girl you were talking to earlier was cute.." Butters forced a smile. Kenny frowned in confusion, opening the door. " Im glad that you've finally managed to get a girlfriend but you better not be inviting her round all th-" Butters continued, his voice becoming shaky as he spoke. " Well, apart from the fact that im gay, shes not really my type" Kenny laughed, ruffling Leos hair as they walked into the living room. " I know that! I just thought that maybe you... I dont know" Butters smiled at himself for being so jealous." Go make the tea you goof" Kenny laughed, shaking his head as he pulled the tea box out of a bag by the door, handing it to leo and putting the bag on the coffee table, walking to the bathroom to get everything set up. Butters grinned, hugging the box to his chest as he went into the kitchen. He clicked on the radio, swaying his hips to the music as he filled the kettle. Opening the cabinet, he hummed thoughtfully, deciding on a cute bunny mug for himself and Kennys favorite mug for his roommate. Butters giggled to himself as he ran his fingers over the chips in Kennys mug. It was plain white, with a scratched picture of the two smiling at a theme park printed on it. It was old, and Butters had tried to buy him a new one more times than he could count, but since Leo had bought it for their first christmas living together, Kenny refused to stop using it. Kenny loved that mug, and looking at how happy he looked in the photo, Leo could see why. The kettle clicked, signalling that it was finished boiling. Meanwhile, Kenny was back in the living room, rifling through the bag, smiling happily when he saw the cookies that they had bought. He took them out, setting them next to the hair dye, which was already unpacked and ready. He hummed in thought, snapping his fingers and running to the dryer. He took out a blue hello Kitty shirt and some jogging bottoms for Leo, and some shorts and a tank top for himself. He heard the kettle click, smiling as he thought about how well the tea was going to taste with the cookies. Butters came into the room, setting down the mugs and yelping when Kenny threw some clothes at him. " Pajama time" Kenny grinned, taking off his shirt. Butters screeched, hiding his face with his hands and looking away. " Kenny!" He laughed, waving him away with his hand. " Whaaaat?" Kenny teased, finding the way that Leo still got flustered at seeing him shirtless hilarious. " Ill turn around while you change. Wont peek. Promise." Kenny smirked, turning around and pulling his tank top on. Butters shook his head, giggling quietly as he got dressed himself. " Ok, im done" He said, turning around only to be held still by Kenny hugging him from behind suddenly. " Ken?" Butters smiled as Kenny buried his face into Leos shoulder, hugging tighter. Butters noticed that Kenny had put a towel over him. " Dont want you to get uh.. To get dye on your shirt" Kenny mumbled, lazily attempting to hide how much he had wanted to hug the boy all day. Kenny sighed, resting his head on his friends. " Ken... Can I ask you something?" Butters said thoughtfully, his eyes falling onto the mugs. " Sure" Kenny smiled. " Why do you like that mug so much." Leo asked. Kenny bit his lip, letting go of Butters and walking over to the table, looking at the cup fondly. " Because you got it for me" He smiled genuinely. " Also, this picture. It was the day that we bought the shop together." Kenny grinned. " Best day of my life was when we started living together" He admitted, making Leo smile wider. " Anyway, hair dye time! Come sit" Kenny said, patting the stool next to him as he picked up the water spray. Butters sat down, happy that Kenny enjoyed living with him as much as he did. " Buttercup... Since you asked something, can I ask something too?" Kenny said thoughtfully, Leo nodding his head. " Earlier, when you asked about the woman.. Was it because you liked her?" Kenny asked nervously. He hadn't said anything earlier because he didn't want to sound like a clingy jealous idiot but the idea of Leo dating anyone but him made Kenny feel physically uncomfortable. " What? No! I thought that you- I just mean that- Well I do like someone but- I mean its just that- I like yo-" Butters spluttered, before Kenny shoved a cookie into his mouth to stop him. Hearing that Leo had a crush was going to hurt so badly that Kenny figured he would rather not know at all. " Mmfph" Butters mumbled through the cookie. He took a bite, chewing it happily. " Leo I didnt want to tell you because I dont want you to hate me, or for you to treat me any differently, but I feel like an asshole keeping anything from you" Kenny said in a suddenly serious tone. Butters felt his heart drop, swallowing the cookie as he waited for what Kenny had to say. " Im in .. Im in love with you. Have been for a while now. Im sorry, I know its dumb but its just how I feel." Kenny chuckled weakly. Butters opened his mouth to speak, but Kenny just fed him another cookie with his clean hand as he continued dying his hair. " Dont worry, you dont have to say anything. I just thought I should tell you. Damn it feels good to get that off my chest. I'll try to move on, but just give me some time. I really have it bad for you" Kenny laughed to hide the sting in his chest. Butters was quiet as he bit the cookie, putting the rest of it onto the table and wiping his eye with his sleeve. Kenny frowned, heart dropping when he noticed tears in his friends eyes. " Buttercup?" He asked worriedly, taking his hand out of his friends hair and kneeling down in front of him. " Im sorry! Did I upset you?" Kenny asked. " dmmphf..nt.. Wammpt.. You tmphoo"  Butters mumbled sadly through his mouthful. He swallowed when he saw the confusion on Kennys face. " I dont want you to get over me" Butters said again, this time clearer. " Because I love you too" Butters smiled. Kenny widened his eyes , feeling tears of joy prick at them as he grinned. " Really?" Was all he could manage to choke out as he looked at the boy hopefully. Butters nodded in response, cupping Kennys face in his hands and pulling him towards him for a kiss. When they finally sepperated, Kenny licked his lips and chuckled. " Blueberry? Really?" He said, tasting the chapstick that had transferred onto his own lips.  " It tastes good!" Butters grinned as he protested.
