—I can't love you, when I don't love myself— Y/n POV:
I woke up in the dark cold basement. I was shivering under the soft thin covers. I rubbed my eyes and sat up in bed. I didn't want to get out of bed honestly, but I needed to figure out why I was here. I looked around the room and saw a note on the side table. I leaned over to the side table and grabbed the note. I began to read:
I hope your slumber was well, miss Gretin. (Your last name in the book) Once you wake up please get dressed into the clothes that are placed on the wooden chair. Boss asked that you will shower before joining him for morning brunch. When you wake up please knock on the basement door that's at the top of the stairs so I can direct you to the bathroom. -Sincerly Jospheine.
I looked at the note that was in nice hand writing then I placed it back down on the side table. I got out of bed and walked over to the wooden chair that I was tied up in a few hours ago. I noticed the ropes were gone out of the room and there was an outfit folded nicely on the chair.

The top had a pair of ripped dark blue jeans folded on top of it. I grabbed the clothes and walked up the stairs, then I knocked on the door that was locked.
The maid unlocked the door and opened it for me.
"Oh good your up! It's eight am so you have time to get ready for brunch at eleven. Follow me." She said with a smile. I followed her upstairs to a white door. She knocked on it and waited a moment. Then she opened the door and I followed her to a room.
The room was huge, it had white walls and was clean. There was a desk that had books and paper work on it with a spinning chair pushed into it. There was a king sized bed with a grey head board. The bedding was a dark red and the sheets were black. There was a small dark red throw pillow with back lace around it. The room also had a door that was open on the right side and it had racks of clothes. The clothes were sweaters and tuxedos, I was in Miles room I relized.
"Here. You can shower in here, the boss said." The maid told me as she opened the door on the right. I followed her into the bathroom and saw a beautiful bathroom. The shower was a regular shower with the tub, and it had a black curtain. The counters were all marble and the floor was white marble as well.
I smiled to the maid and she closed the door behind her. I turned on the shower water and waited for it to warm up before I unclothed. I felt uncomfy showering in Miles bathroom. I was starting to miss my bedroom and miss my brother Kobi and my mom. The one time my mom was home was the time I got kidnapped! Now that I thought about it I hoped they were ok.
The hot steamy water felt so good on my bare skin. I used the shampoo and conditioner that was sitting on the shelf in the shower. I looked around for body wash and all there was, was a half used soap bar. I decided to skip washing my body with soap since this was Miles shower.
I then turned off the water and grabbed a towel that the maid had left me on the counter. I dried off then I used some of the coco butter lotion that was on the counter as well. After moisturizing I got dressed in the outfit that Miles had gave me for today. I looked around the bathroom for a hair brush. I found one in a drawer, and I quickly parted my hair down the middle then brushed it a few times. I saw a tooth brush brush pack that hadn't been opened. I opened it up and took the purple one out of the packaging. I then used some toothpaste that was lying around.
It felt nice to be all clean, I then opened the bathroom door and was welcomed by the cold bedroom. I stepped out of the bathroom and saw no one was in here. I decided to go down stairs and find the maid or miles.
Once I got down stairs I saw the maid serving brunch to miles and an empty chair. Miles looked up at me and looked me up and down.
"You clean up well." He said with a smirk.
"Thanks." I said with a frown.
"Why the long face? Come, sit down and eat." He said as he pointed to the empty chair next to him. I nodded then walked over to the chair he pointed to, and sat down. I felt like a dog that had to do his every command.
"Are you going to tell me why I'm here?" I jumped right into the question. He ignored me and began to eat his food. I got annoyed by him ignoring me. "Miles?" I asked.
"Yes y/n." He answered.
"Why am I here? Please just tell me." I begged. He looked at me for a minute.
"Eat your food." He told me sternly. I did as I was told.
After we ate Miles told me to come up stairs with him. I followed him into his room.
"My sister and Kate are going to be home tomorrow night, so you better get used to sleeping in here with me." He said calmly.
"Um, ok." I said in a confused voice.
"Also I'm telling them your my girlfriend, so play along like your life depends on it, cause it does!" He said in a calm voice. He eyed me for a minute and I tried to process what I was just told. "Your allowed to roam around the grounds freely but don't try to leave." Miles spoke in a calm serious voice. I just nodded my head, taking in all this information.
