33. Labor/ Delivery- Johnny 💛

I am still 3 weeks from my due date. Still a little time till baby Harmony will be here but not too long actually. We've waited more than 8 months to meet her and I'm sure we can wait a bit longer to meet her. Johnny and I are definitely ready to meet our little girl and become parents for the first time. We are so excited to welcome our beautiful little princess Harmony into the world. I'm 37 weeks so I'm not working or anything. Well I don't have a job in Korea. Not looking for one for a while. We've only been here a couple of months but that's okay. I am heading to the supermarket with Johnny this evening to do the shopping. I don't usually come with him but I want to tonight as I've been stuck in the house for the last few days. I need to get out and get some air and exercise. I was almost ready to go. "Are you almost ready to go, love?" Johnny asks. "Yes I think I am" I reply. "There's no need to rush. Just take your time, baby" he said. We go out to the car and arrive at the supermarket soon and start doing our shopping. Johnny wheels the cart and I have the list on my phone to tell him what we need. He grabs things off the shelves and puts them in the cart and we carry on shopping. As we were going around I start to feel not good. I have cramps that might feel like contractions but I'm not sure yet. I hold onto the cart and clench my bump. "Honey, are you okay? What's the matter?" Johnny said. "I don't know if it's a false alarm or the real thing" I reply. "You're not due for another three weeks. It might be what they call them. Braxton hicks" Johnny said. "I think I need to go to the hospital. I don't feel so good" I say. "Okay you go back to the car and I'll finish quick here" he said. I go to the car while Johnny finishes up which didn't take him long. Then we got to the hospital. "I definitely don't think this is a false alarm now. I think it's happening. Our princess is coming early" I reply. "But there was no sign of this. She will be so small. Will she make it?" he said. "Hopefully, Johnny. Don't say that" I reply

Johnny gets me to the hospital pretty quick. Thank God he did as it was definitely getting worse. I just needed to get there. Johnny left the bags in the car and got me in straight away. We explained that I'm still 3 weeks from my due date so they examined me straight away. The doctor comes in and she takes a look at me. They needed a doctor as I'm 3 weeks early. "Yes, Y/ N. You are definitely in labor. It wasn't Braxton hicks by the looks of it. It's the real thing. You are 3 weeks early but your baby should be okay. I think a natural vaginal birth will be okay" she said. "Okay that's fine. As long as I don't have to have a c section" I reply. "I'll be back soon" she smiles. The doctor leaves and closes the door behind her. I was still a bit nervous about everything. How it will go and if our baby girl will be okay? "I knew it wasn't a false alarm when it got worse" I say to Johnny. "Yeah you were right, sweetie. I didn't know what was happening at first" he replies. "Me neither. I didn't know I was going to go into labor so early. Harmony must want to meet us before time" I say. "Of course you wouldn't know, sweetheart. Things like that can just happen" he said. I look at him and smiles and he smiles back. It's a pretty scary thing to happen going into labor and having your baby a few weeks early but there's nothing we can do. I'm in hospital now having our baby girl. Johnny keeps me calm and keeps holding my hand as we sit together on the bed. The doctor comes back to check on me in another hour or so. "Let's see how you're doing again, Y/ N" she said. She checks my cervix at first. "It might no be long till you're ready to push. Just keep calm" she said. "Okay" I say nodding my head. In a couple of hours, they told me I was ready to push. I asked for an epidural so they did that for me and it helped take away the pain. Labor has been pretty quick for my first baby. It's been about 4 hours. Johnny obviously could stay in the room next to me and held my hand tightly. "You can do this, my love" he said. He kissed my hand too. "Remember to push gently, Y/ N. She's going to feel a small baby as she's premature" the midwife said. I pushed very carefully and gently but it was a little struggle to get baby Harmony out. Her little head almost got stuck. She was finally born but we couldn't see her straight away as they had to take her to the NICU with her being premature. We hope she's going to be okay. Our little angel is here

A couple of hours after, Harmony was born we got to see her for the first time. We had to give them sometime to sort her out before we could see her. There is a possibility she'll have to stay in the NICU for a while as she's three weeks premature. She's a tiny little thing too. Johnny wheeled me into the NICU in a wheelchair. "We get to see our perfect little princess for the first time" he said. "We do. I cannot wait" I reply. We get taken to where baby Harmony was in the NICU. She's so tiny and she was hooked up to loads of monitors and wires. Awe our beautiful little angel. "She's gorgeous. She's the most beautiful little girl in the world" Johnny says. "She is, Johnny. She's gorgeous but I hate seeing her like this. Hopefully she'll pick up" I reply. "She will" he says rubbing my shoulder. We couldn't hold Harmony just yet. We couldn't hold her till later on and it was only me who got to hold her. Johnny will be able to hold her another time. Hopefully tomorrow. "She's so tiny. I'm scared to hold her when I can" he said. "I know. I'm kinda scared to hold her. She's so tiny and precious, John" I say. "Our precious, baby girl. Daddy will protect you and be by your side through anything" Johnny said. He smiles and I smile back at him. It was a shock Harmony coming so early but at least she's here now. We don't know how long she'll be on the NICU for but it could be a while. Just as long as she fights and stays with us

A/ N: awwww she's so cute and precious. Harmony. Thought I'd make one of the babies premature but don't worry nothing bad is gonna happen
