Our boys could be arriving anytime now. Yuta and I are so ready for Daisuke and Toshiro's arrival into the world and our lives. I'm still 37 weeks and that's usually the time twins come. Everything is ready and organised for them. Being almost full term with twins I am feeling very exhausted and I just can't wait until I'm not pregnant anymore. More importantly we are so excited to meet our babies. It's Halloween too tomorrow. We are usually celebrating by going to a party but not this year. It's 9:30pm and Yuta and I are getting settled ready to get into bed. Earlier nights for both of us until the boys come. We know when they are here we will hardly get any sleep at all. That's all part of having babies. We will be doing night feeds and changes between us. I have just laid down now. I'm waiting until Yuta has finished in the bathroom. He comes a few minutes later. "I'm here. Ready for bed" he said. "Good" I yawn. He gets in and snuggles next to me and we cuddle for a while until we fall asleep together. We both fall asleep not long after. A few hours later I am distributed by a sharp pain and backache. I have been sleeping pretty good since I went to sleep. I lay on my back and try relax but the pain gets a little worse. Yuta opened his eyes. He must've heard me tossing and turning. "You're awake. What time is it?" he ask. "Yeah I think I'm having contractions, Yuta. It's like 3am" I reply. "Okay do you need to go to the hospital" he said. "Not just yet. Contractions have to be frequently to go to the hospital" I reply. "Okay" Yuta yawns. He sits next to me resting his head on my shoulder. Should be the other way round. Yuta was sleepy. Bless. I monitored the contractions in my head and when they got more frequently which wasn't till about an hour and a half later, I told him it was time to take me. All the bags are already in the car. I was thinking just in case I went into labor during the night which I have. Yuta tried to keep his eyes on the road but it wasn't easy for him. I didn't want to talk to him and distract him. We made it to the hospital safely in one piece

We arrived at the hospital safely even though it's the middle of the night and Yuta almost crashed a few times. I not mad at him for being tired and driving recklessly. It's fine we are here now. They get me into a room and examine me straight away. They check on the babies heartbeats first and what positions they are in. "Right, Y/ N. The babies both seem healthy and they look to be in the right positions for a vaginal birth. I don't think need a c section at all. You'll need an epidural since you are having twins" the nice midwife said. "Okay that's good. I'm absolutely fine with that" I reply. She measures my cervix next. "You are 6cm dilated, Y/ N. So just over halfway. Let me know if you need anything" she said. "I will" I reply. The midwife leaves and we let her know if we need anything. "I can't believe I'm gonna do this all by myself and push two babies out of me with just an epidural" I say. "Yep I know bit you won't be on your own as I'll be right by your side, love. You can opt for a c section if you want" Yuta replies. "Nah I'll be okay. I'm gonna be brave and do this all by myself without anything like that" I reply. "Oh yes you can. You are the bravest woman I know, Y/ N" Yuta said. We waited a while till I needed anything. I was told to drink plenty of water to keep me hydrated during birth. Only thing is I'll be needing to pee a lot. Sometimes I forget to drink which I shouldn't. Come morning, Yuta got himself something to eat for breakfast. I was told not to eat even though I was feeling kinda hungry. Looks like I'm almost at the final stages of labor with the twins now. Finally. We've been here all night and it feels like forever. We get to meet our handsome boys soon. Cannot wait. Yuta fell asleep during the night but I mostly kept awake. I didn't want the babies to come with I was sleeping. When it was time to push I found a comfortable by kneeling on the bed. Didn't think that would be comfortable but it was in the end. Yuta stayed by me and kept holding my hand where he could. It was a while before Daisuke and Toshiro were born. Daisuke was first and Toshiro 5 minutes after

When the boys were born, they were cleaned up and checked over quickly and we got to see them straight away. They are both healthy in size and weight. Born on Halloween too. Our boys are finally here and we cannot believe they are and that we are parents. "You have two heathy and happy baby boys, guys" the midwife said handing Daisuke and Toshiro to us both. "Thank you" I smile. We held a baby each. "Here they are. Our boys. Identical they are" Yuta said. "Yes they are. They are adorable, Yuta. They are blessed" I smile. "They are. Our handsome, boys. Who's who's though?" He said. "Daisuke was born first then Toshiro" I say. I think I was holding Toshiro and Yuta was holding Daisuke. "Best moment of my life and proposing to you too, babe" he said. "I know. Definitely the greatest moment of my life as well" I reply. "You'll be saying that when you marry me too" Yuta said. Later the boys had to be checked on again but they were all good. In the meantime I was pumping some breast milk. I want the boys to have both my milk and formula. They will be strong and healthy. Anyway Daisuke and Toshiro are here now and they are safe and well. Yuta and I are so happy and over the moon our boys are here and that they are well and healthy. Can't wait to take them home soon
