39. a. First Bath

Mark 💖

Me and Mark are about to give Reuben is first proper bath this evening. He's now two weeks old so it's a good time to give him a bath as his umbilical stump has come off. My mom has come over to help us as we are not 100% confident in bathing Reuben for the first time. She bought us a baby bath especially for us to bathe Reuben. My mom is here now and we are starting to get things ready for Reuben's bath. She runs the tap and fills the bath with warm water for Reuben. When the bath was filled my mom brings it over to the bench. "All good" she said. Mark undresses Reuben and takes his diaper off. It was only a wet one. "Okay. Are you ready for your first bath, kid" Mark said. "Yes I think he is" I reply. Mark lifts Reuben gently into into the bath and I gently splash him with the warm water and I think he likes it. "Mom, are we doing okay?" I say. "Yes, you are doing just fine" she replies. "Good. I think he's enjoying it"  I reply. "Yes he is. Aren't you, little man?" Mark smiles. Reuben doesn't bathe for a long time. We carefully get him out and wrap him in a nice warm towel we've been warming on the radiator. Little Reuben enjoyed his first bath and we are happy my mom was here to help and guide us

Jaehyun 💜

Jaehyun and I are giving little Joohyun her first real bath tonight. We have been washing her several times with cotton wool and warm water till her umbilical stump has fallen off now so we can give our little princess a bath. I still have to be careful bending down and everything as I had a c section and I'm still sore down there. Jaehyun will be lifting Joohyun in and out of the bath and I'll be washing her gently. We are doing it in the kitchen as it's the best place to give her a bath. Jaehyun is running the tap till the water is warm and I'm getting Joohyun ready for her bath. A few minutes later the bath was ready and Jaehyun brought it over to the bench where I am. "Okay, Joohyun. Bath time, sweetie" he said. He lifts her in gently but she doesn't really like the temperature of the water. "It might be a little too hot for her" he said. "I'll put a little bit of cold in" I smile. I grab a jug and put done cold water in the bath as Joohyun didn't like it. "That should be better for her" I say. It was and we could bathe her without her crying. "That's better. Isn't it, Joohyun?" Jaehyun said. "Yes it is. She's enjoying it now. Aren't you, sweetie?" I say. Joohyun bathed for a couple more minutes and then Jaehyun lifts her out and wraps her in a nice warm towel and dry her off and dress her. Joohyun's first bath went okay today

Taeyong 💙

His POV

Y/ N and I are going to give our boy Taeho his first bath this afternoon. He is two and a half weeks old and we love being parents to him. We are bathing Taeho in the bathroom. We've heard it's good for mother and baby if you get in the bath with them so Y/ N is going to lay in the bath with Taeho. I might do it another time but I let her do it first. I am filling the bath now while Y/ N gets herself and Taeho ready for the bath. The water needs to be the right temperature for Taeho so it's not too hot. Y/ N is in a bath robe and brings Taeho in who's ready for his bath. "Is my son ready for his bath?" I say. "Yes. He is" Y/ N replies. She hands Taeho to me and takes off her bath robe and gets into the bath first. She was wearing nothing. I hand Taeho to her and she places him on her chest. "You're naked. Just the way I like you" I said to her. "Ummm yeah. We both are. If the bath was big enough you could join us" she replies. "Yep I could" I reply. Taeho falls asleep as he's on Y/ N's chest. "He looks so relaxed" Y/ N said. "Yes he does" I reply. I wash Taeho gently while he's laid on Y/ N's chest. I lift him out and wrap him in a nice warm towel and dry him off. Our boy had his first bath today with his mommy and he enjoyed it very much

Jungwoo ❤️

Jungwoo and I are bathing the twins for the first time this evening. Neither of them have had a proper bath yet. We have been washing them since we brought them home we have been giving them little washes every few days. They like their washes but we are going to give them their first baths today. Well we have already given Heeyoung a bath. We are going to bathe Seungwan for the first time this evening. Heeyoung enjoyed her first bath we think. She was splashing around and enjoying herself. "Okay, little man. Hope you like your bath like your sister" Jungwoo said. He gets Seungwan undressed and his diaper off and lifts him into the bath. "It may feel a little weird at first but this is a bath, Seungwan" he said. Seungwan smiles a little while he's in the bath. Jungwoo holds him while I was him gently with cotton wool and lotion. I splash him gently to rinse him. Jungwoo lifts Seungwan careful out. He almost slips out of his hand but he doesn't. I grab a towel to wrap him in and dry him off. "There we go, little boy" I said. "Think he liked it. They both liked their first bath, Y/ N" Jungwoo said. "Yes they did" I reply. I turn around and a happy little Heeyoung is in her bouncy chair. The twins first baths were successful this evening

Donghyuck 💚

Donghyuck has just given Eunsang his daily bath. We thought we'd give Miyoung her first bath after. Eunsang isn't in bed yet but he will be when Miyoung has had her first bath. In a few months we'll be able to bathe them both together. Donghyuck is filling the bath with new water for Miyoung's bath. I get her ready by taking off her clothes and diaper and cleaning her up. She's on done a pee so it's okay. "Okay. I think it's the right temperature now" he said. "Great. Should I lift her in or you?" I say. "I will" Donghyuck said. "Hello, angel. Appa and eomma are about to give your a bath" he said. I smile as Donghyuck gets Miyoung into the bath. She moves her little arms and legs around as she gets used to the feel of the water. "There we go. It's quite nice. Isn't it, Miyoung?" Donghyuck said. "Yup she likes it" I say. "My beautiful girl. Having her first bath" he said. I smile. We bathe Miyoung for a few more minutes and she likes it. Donghyuck passes her to me and I wrap her in her nice fluffy ducky towel. "Our fluffy adorable little duckling" he said. "She is" I reply. "Bath" Eunsang said pointing to the bath. "You've already had one, buddy. Tomorrow" Donghyuck said. Miyoung's first bath went well this evening. Our fluffy little ducking enjoyed it very much

A/ N: never my fave part of the book but I think it's okay. Made Taeyong's different to the others
