Deal XLVIII

Jennie went to one of the conference rooms in the upper floor. She entered and saw some of the executives as well as her manager, Mike, Maxine and the writer Samantha. She sat on an empty chair after greeting everyone.

After a few minutes dumating naman si Mino. He greeted everyone present and bumati din siya kay Jennie sabay beso. Tapos ay umupo ito sa tabi ni Jen. They weren't awkward at all.

Maxine: So.. as you've been told, the script has been finalized and here are your copies.

Inabutan naman silang dalawa ng folder containing the script.

Samantha: Those are the final scripts already pero if our director feels na may kailangan idagdag or tanggalin, we're open to revisions. Kayo rin actaully, after reading the scripts pwede kayong mag-suggest if you want anything added or revised. :)

Inabot ni Mino ang folders and inabot ang isa kay Jen.

Jen: Thank you :)

Mike: Let's start with the story con?

Maxine: Sure. Uhmm.. Samantha, you can lead us.

Samantha: I'm going to give you guys a comprehensive summary of the story. Feel free to ask questions or clarify anything.

Tumango naman sina Mino and Jennie.

Samantha: Ms. Kim you'll be playing Jana and Sir. Mino you'll be playing Toby. Magsisimula yung story with the two of you as a couple fresh out of college. Highschool sweethearts. Boyfriend and girlfriend for years already. Sobrang sweet, sobrang perfect. Close kayo sa family ng isa't isa. And we're going to portray that by establishing your relationship with your families. That would probably take the first 5-8 transitions or scenes. Then the fateful night comes where Toby's character proposes to Jana but she ends up saying no leading to a breakup instead of an engagement. The next few scenes would be dedicated to how you'll cope with the breakup. Tapos ie-explore natin yung characters niyo separately as in, in terms of your growth as an individual, career. Tapos dadaan yung 2 years. You'll see each other again. You're both single. You try to rebuild the friendship tapos you try to get back together pero for the wrong reasons. For Jana, it was to correct the mistake she did by rejecting Toby. While si Toby naman thinks he has to change himself for Jana kasi never naman kayo nagkaron ng closure so all along akala ni Toby siya yung may mali. So yung point nung movie is do you get back together or not and do you have the right reasons. You can read the entire script for details. Questions?

Mino: Uhmmm. I was flipping through the first few pages and.... may love scene?

Jen: O___O What?

Mino: Here.

Tinuro naman ni Mino yung page na tinutukoy niya.

Jen: Waiiiitt. Uhmm..can we revise this?

Maxine: Why is there anything wrong with this?

Tinulungan naman ni Mino si Jennie dahil ayaw niyang ma-awkward ito.

Mino: We're just not comfortable doing this. I mean, I think kissing scenes are more than enough.

Mike: But that's what's gonna sell. For sure papatok yan. This is your reunion movie!

Jen: Yeah but hindi pa ba enough na magkasama kami sa isang movie. Do we really na e to do this?

Maxine: I'm sorry Jen. Revise anything you want except that one. Our eyes are on the profit this reunion movie is going to bring and not your personal lives so please bear with us. Alam mo naman kung ano ang bebenta sa tao.

Hindi na nakasagot si Jennie. She doesn't want to seem unprofessional. Bahala na kung pano niya sasabihin kay Lisa.

Mike: Any more questions?
