DEAL (Jenlisa)

Deal XXXIII

After spending the entire afternoon crying her eyes out she finally had courage to get out of her condo. She drove for awhile, trying to clear her head, thinking of what to do next. before she knew it she was driving a certain direction. She went to the place where she feels safer.

She knocked on the door a couple of times before the person she needed opened the door for her. As soon as she saw who opened the door, tears again started to fall out of her eyes violently.

Jen: Ma.

That was all she said before hugging her mother tightly and cried on her shoulders.

Mrs. Kim: What happened?

Niyakap niya ang anak at hinagod ang likod para patahanin. Pumunta sila sa sala at umupo sa sofa. Hinintay ni Mrs. Kim na huminahon si Jen bago niya ito tanungin ulit. After a few minutes of more crying, she finally stopped.

Mrs. Kim: what happened?

Jen: I screwed up.

Mrs. Kim: what do you mean?

Jen: I made bad decisions Ma. Some I can't take back.

Mrs. Kim: Tell me. i'll help you fix this. What's going on?

Jen: Kami na ulit ni Lisa.

Mrs. Kim: What?! That's great :D I know she makes you happy. Kelan pa? Why is that such a bad thing? Mabait naman si Lisa. It's not a bad decision. Kung mahal niyo ang isa't isa, being together is something you shouldn't be sorry about.

Nagsimula na namang maluha si Jennie.

Jen: she broke up with me.

Mrs. Kim: why? :( Kala ko ba kayo na ulit? You're starting to confuse me, anak. What did he do?

Jen: it's all my fault ma.

Mrs. Kim: What did you do?

Jen: I made her my secret. And I lied about it. Hindi ko kasi alam pano ko sasabihin kay daddy, kay Miyeon and kay Irene.

Mrs. Kim: Jen, alam mo namang maiintindihan namin eh. How many times do we have to tell you that whatever makes you happy would make us happy? If you find that happiness with Lisa, then who are we to stop you.

Jen: Pero ma, what if hindi agree si Daddy or what if hindi agree yung mga kapatid ko? Me and Lisa were so happy na kami lang kaya natatakot ako sa pwedeng mangyari kapag may mga taong tumutol samin. You know how much your opinion matters to me.

Mrs. Kim: Dapat sinabi mo pa rin. If, and i'm emphasizing if, hindi nga sila agree, that's their problem not yours. Alam kong close ka sa kanila pero kung mahal ka talaga nila, they'd understand. Lalo na yung mga kapatid mo. All they want is for you to find someone who will make you happy. I know Lisa might be different from other guys in many ways pero kung sinasabi ng puso mo na siya na, wala tayong magagawa kahit anong tutol pa ng mga tao sa paligid.

Jen: But Ma, I'm too late. I lost her already. Hindi ko na alam kung pano ko aayusin to. I don't know how to take this back. Nasaktan ko siya ng sobra. She thinks na kinahihiya ko siya.

Mrs. Kim: Do you?

Jen: No! I'm just trying to protect her. Ayokong maramdaman niyang may taong importante sakin na hindi siya tanggap for me. I was just trying to shelter her but I ended up hurting her. I don't know what to do anymore Ma. :'(

Mrs. Kim: You can start by resolving the issue that caused this.

Nagtataka naman si Jennie kung anong ibig sabihin ng mama niya.
