23: threats

The two walked into the strange Human's shop again. Taehyung felt here so uncomfortable, partly because a lot of object here had eyes that were watching him. And other part he couldnt really think of what it was.

"well hello again Seokjin" Jungkook spoke as he walked through the maze of a store with his arms wide and a grin. The human looked up from behind the counter and squinted his eyes.

"what do you want?" he hissed at the demon.

"we both know why i am here" jungkook lowered his arms folding then behind his back.

"i am not returning it"

"well would you look at that, its right here." jungkook said sarcasticly and suddenly held the book he was looking for in his hands. "bye"

"You annoying dragon!" Seokjin said and walked past the counter towards jungkook. The demon only fasten his pace making taehyung almost run to catch up.
"give it back!" the human said with a frown.

"nope, Hoseok needs it back. And besides i could sell it to have money, isnt that great." jungkook suddenly turned around walking backwards. "want to buy it?"

"its MY book!"

"whatever"

Seokjin had enough and ran forward shoving Taehyung out of his way. The demon froze in his steps and snapped his head around. His dark eyes glaring at the human.

"dont fucking touch him.." he said, his voice turning demonic. Seokjins eyes widen for a second at the sudden change of the raven.

Taehyung regained his balance luckily quick and releasing a relieved breath. When he turned around he locked eyes with Jungkook, and at that moment taehyung felt a tingle in his neck, his fingers went up tracing the marking that he felt carved in his fragile body.

A mark that wasnt Mr.Shin's but Jungkook's

"keep the stupid book, i will just take him" Seokjin said and approached taehyung who wasnt following what was happening ever since they set foot on this strange human's ground

"you want to die?" jungkook asked as he suddenly appeared in front of Seokjin, blocking his view and path to the crystal boy "you touch him with even one finger. You are dead"

"fine take your book" Seokjin scoffed and rolled his eyes. "you better buy something next time"

"hm i will see" jungkook said and his expression got normal again. His hands that were tensed relaxed.
He turned around and grabbed taehyungs hand pulling the boy in front of him as he walked away.

"he is a strange man..." taehyung said feeling jungkooks hands in his shoulders. But it didnt bother him, he felf oddly safe like this.

"dont trust him, he isnt what he seems to be"

"what do you mean?" taehyung asked and looked up. The raven now walked next to him.

"do you know witches or warlocks?"

"hm, i think i do. I dont know a lot" taehyung said thinking. He had read about then before but he forgot what they exactly are and did.

"he is one of them. But he is very good in manipulating others."

"he is a warlock?".

"mhm" jungkook was looking around them the sun was still up so they still had time. "lets go here" he turned into a new path and they got back into the city quickly.

"this is funny" taehyung said as he gently poked his jelly watching it jiggle.

"just eat..." jungkook said watching the boy play with his food. But actually he didnt mind. He just didnt want to look like he cared.

"sorry" taehyung pouted a bit and started eating. They just had their dinner and were now having the dessert. Well only Taehyung had a dessert. Jungkook just sat there watching him.

"dont you want some?" taehyung asked after taking a few bites.

Jungkook didnt reply

"hm" taehyung sighed softly. He tried to talk but jungkook just ignored him.
He got a bite on his spoon and brought it forward to jungkooks face.
The demon locked eyes with him for a long time, then at the spoon. He leaned forward and ate the jelly.

Taehyung slowly started smiling and got more. And before they knew it they were sharing the dessert together.

They finished it very quickly together. And taehyung needed to pee. He stood up but jungkook grabbed his wrist stopping him.

"where you going?"

"toilet.."

Jungkook sighed and stood up. He gave taehyung a soft push to walk. The boy being a bit confused started walking to the restrooms of the restaurant.

"go pee or whatever" jungkook said and leaned against the wall next to the door.
Taehyung nodded and got into one of the stalls locking the door behind him.

While taehyung was there the door of the restroom opened again and a man walked inside. He walked past the stalls halting at everyone untill he stopped at one...The one taehyung was in, his hand moved to the lock.

"i think you could better leave"

The man turned at hearing that voice and noticed Jungkook lean against the wall. He haven't noticed him earlier.
The demon squinted his eyes at him, so this was the guy Taehyung told him about. He reconised the scar and all the other details the boy told him.

"jeon jungkook...." the man said and stepped back from the stall.

"what do you want fron him?" jungkook asked and stepped forward folding his hands behind his back.

"same as you....Money"

Jungkook was silent.

Taehyung who was actually already done was listening to them. Jungkook didnt reply to that. He sighed jungkook didnt change. He will just sell him in the end anyway. What did he expect, he was a demon. Demons cant be trusted...

Well that was what he thought untill Jungkook spoke up again,

"i dont sell him"

"if you wont, i will" the other man chuckled and started walking to the exit.

"i wont let you"

"we will see about that" the man then left the room. Cursing to himself as soon he left the reataurant.

"Tae we are going home, hurry up" Jungkook said looking at the door the boy was behind. Taehyung left the stall and went to wash his hand. Then they went back.
