It's the early hours of the morning, and while Taylor is progressing, it's taking a while. She's glad because it means Harry should make it, but as the pain slowly gets worse - she's starting to realise why some people only have one kid.
"What time is it?" Gemma is by her side, holding her hand in the dimly lit room. "It's after five now, he'll be here so soon," Harry gets in just before eight and then a car will be waiting to bring him straight here. "It's okay, just breathe," Taylor is laying on her side, facing Gemma as she tries to breathe through her contractions. Her mom is asleep on the cot beside her, doing what Taylor should be doing, but she just can't seem to sleep for long.
She checks her phone for the millionth time, hoping to hear from Harry, but of course he's still in the sky so he can't contact her. "Hey mum," Gemma's phone rings and when she answers it, she speaks quietly so she doesn't wake Andrea, "everything is good here, Harry will be here shortly and Taylor is doing incredibly," she gives the singer a soft smile, "nearly four centimetres as of an hour ago, so things should get moving soon."
Taylor feels awful that Anne and Robin can't be here, she knows how much they wanted to be and how much she and Harry wanted them here, but Robin's health comes first and they understand the reluctance to travel.
"Tell her we'll call when Harry gets here, hopefully something interesting will have happened by then," Taylor laughs and Gemma squeezes her hand as she singer tries to distract herself from another contraction. "Okay mum, I'll speak to you then," Gemma nods, "she loves you, Tay," the Brit recites the message and Taylor smiles as Gem puts the phone near her face, "we love you too, Anne, we'll call soon."
They're doing their best to keep her updated since she can't be here, but Taylor is just holding onto the fact that they're going to see her very soon anyway.
"I'm going to go for coffee, do you want anything?" Gemma squeezes her hand again and Taylor shakes her head, making the Brit frown. "You haven't eaten in nearly twenty four hours, Tay, you're going to need your energy to birth your little person." The singer sighs, the idea of eating right now makes her stomach twist into knots, but she knows she needs the energy for what's still to come. "Okay, sure..." she sighs, "just something small though, I really don't know if I can eat much right now."
Gemma nods, relieved that it wasn't a fight to get her to agree. "I'll be quick, but try and get some sleep if you can, I'll be quiet when I come back," Taylor nods too, squeezing the blonde's hand again, "thank you, Gem, for being here and being so great the last few weeks." The Brit shakes her head as she smiles, "we're basically sisters now, and sisters are there for each other when they need it."
Taylor really doesn't know what she'd have done without Gemma, she was so scared to go through the last few weeks of her pregnancy without Harry, and while Gem isn't her brother - she probably knows Taylor just as well and could support her in ways other people couldn't. She'll never forget what the Brit has done for her.

As Harry's journey goes on, he gets more and more antsy to be with Taylor. He can't get any updates until he's on the ground, so as far as he knows the baby could already be here and he just doesn't know yet.
"We'll be landing in twenty minutes, Mr Styles," the security guard comes out to tell him and it's like a wave of relief when he hears those words, "thank you," he nods and then goes to take his seat - stopping the pacing that he's been doing on and off for the last twelve hours. He tried to sleep but was too nervous and excited, then he tried to distract himself but ended up pacing again anyway.
