Your POV
I shut my eyes at their loudness. They were all confused, shocked, and even concerned.
"B-but I thought you guys didn't like each other?"
Jean asked. I sighed loud enough for them to hear.
"No. We're trying to get along now. We apologized, and trying a fresh start."
In some way, they all looked disappointed. I was unsure why.
"Will you still spend time with us like normal
(Y/N)?"My heart broke when Sasha asked that, a potato in hand to comfort her.
"Don't worry, I told him that I won't let it get in the way of my time with you guys."
They cheered collectively. We finished dinner and cleaned up. I continued spending time with them a little longer. We sat in the mess hall and talked.
As I sat there, I couldn't help but look around at the now empty mess hall. I looked at the high ceiling and noticed that the room was actually bigger than I thought.
You know? This would be a great place to have a celebration...
An idea hits me out of no where.
"Guys. I know this is really random!! BUT LET'S HAVE A PARTY!"
"What? Why?"
Eren asked. I narrowed my eyes at him.
"Why not? Just to have fun and lighten the mood! We can dress up and play games and music! It'll be so fun!"
"Yeah! We should be able to take dates! What do you think Mikasa?"
Jean started leaning towards Mikasa, batting his eyelashes at her. Mikasa didn't even spare a glance at him. She just shrugged her shoulders. We all laughed at her subtle rejection.
The rest of the night we planned more about the party. Our voices started getting louder from the excitement. Good thing no one else was around, especially Captain grumpy pants. He would've totally punished us by now.
We split the responsibilities and went out separate ways for the night. I was so excited. Tonight, I was going to write a proposal for the party, and give to Commander Erwin in the morning. I'm sure he would say yes.
My excitement was getting higher and higher that I started to skip down the halls, till I realized....
Right, my office is with Levi now.
Don't get me wrong. I'm really glad that we were both able to show our vulnerable sides, and comforted each other during our weak point... but it just seemed weird to go from hating each other's guts to becoming friends. I'm still weirded out by how nice Levi was being, and it was only to me!
That doesn't mean he likes me right? No! I'm just his friend.. but I'm sure Hanji and Erwin are his friends too, but he's not as friendly with them as he is with me...
Oh god.
He likes me.
No-no-no! Get it together (Y/N)!
You like him too don't you?? Under that cold heart could be a caring man, and not to mention he's FINEEE.
What the fuck am I saying... I've gone mad.
I stood outside our office and knocked. While I waited for his response, I wiped my feet on the floor mat.
"Name and business?"
"It's (Y/N)!"
A couple seconds of waiting, I was greeted at the door by my roomie Levi. He looked surprised to see me.
"You came."
"Umm.. Yeah? I am your secretary."
I nudged him aside and walked into our office. The thoughts of the party still ran around my head, causing a smile to stay plastered on my face. I felt like I kept the smile on the entire time as I did paperwork. Levi didn't seem to question it; although, he would still give me the occasional glance.
When I was done, I walked over to his desk and placed it down neatly to the side. Then I walked to the table at the far end to make us tea. I peeked at Levi secretly through my hair to see if he was watching me, and he was, but this time it looked like he was smiling slightly.
"Can I tell you something exciting?"
I asked him as I leaned over his desk. When he stopped writing, I gave him his cup of tea, to which he grabbed by the rim. He leaned back on his chair to made himself comfortable as he listened to me.
"Is this the reason why you've been smiling like a dork this entire time?"
"Maybe."
"Ok well?"
"We're having a party!!!"
My excited squeal contrasted the dull look on his face. I guess it was anticlimactic for him.
"A party for what?"
"Just cause. It would be fun. You're coming for sure!"
"No. Parties cause a lot of mess. Who's gonna clean it up?"
Ugh. Why is he so lame?
I refused for him to ruin my super happy mood.
"We'll all clean afterwards, or maybe even the day after if people get a little drunk.."
"There's drinks? No. That means even more mess! And fights!"
"The only person who would fight anyone would be you anyways!"
I exploded at him. I immediately regretted it when I saw Levi didn't yell back like he usually would. Levi just looked at me with a cold stare.
"Hey.. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell."
He stayed quiet. It made me feel worse. I walked over to him and kneeled by his side.
Why am I doing this?
"Please come to the party. It would mean a lot to me. Everyone will have so much fun. It'll be a temporary release from life."
I tried to convince him. He stared for a bit then sighed. I felt his hand on my head as he ruffled my hair. My face heated up at the gesture.
"Get up brat. I'll go."
I stood up embarrassed as I headed to the mirror hanging behind my desk to fix my hair.
My pride gone. What are you doing (Y/N)? Why does it even matter if he came? Jesus. You practically went on your knees and begged him.
Wait. That's exactly what happened.
