ROSALEEN

Panama City Airport.

An hour ago ay naglanding na ang sinasakyan namin na eroplano. Katulad ng iniwan namin airport sa Pilipinas ay ganoon din ang scenario dito.

Paglabas namin sa lobby ay may mga taong naghihintay. Placards at sign boards ang makikita. Halo-halo din ang mga lenggwaheng naririnig namin na pinangungunahan ng espanyol.

"Sino pang hinihintay natin?" tanong ko.

Erina looks at her phone, "May susundo daw sa atin."

Dala din pala namin ang device na gawa ni Mason. In case na may mawala sa amin. But it is not water proof. Sa tabi pa naman ng dagat ang tutuluyan namin.

"Staff ba ng hotel?" Kaito has his sun glasses on. Hiding his puffy eyes from sleep.

Our weapons are also concealed and hidden from the mortals' eye sight. Even our scents. Nangingibabaw kahit madaming tao. A disadvantage of superior bloodline.

"Yeah." Erina fixes her bag.

Hinila ako bigla ni Lunox, "Move!"

"Give me your bag." kinuha ni Kaito ang bag ni Erina.

"Anong mayroon?" tanong ko.

"Lamia." Lunox scans the whole place.

Nagtago kami sa likod ng pillars malapit sa glass wall ng airport. Mayroon ngang kalaban dito. Malapit lang sila sa amin dahil sa amoy nila.

Distinct scent are also carried by demons, giants, and monsters. Tulad namin ay nakikihalubilo din sila sa mga tao. Looking for prey to feed on.

"Damn it!" Kaito hides Erina behind him, "Nakikita ko na ang Staff."

"Leave first." utos ni Lunox.

I disagree, "Hindi ka namin iiwan!"

"Kaito, protect them. I'll meet you after this." he pushed me towards him.

"Let's go Rosaleen." hila sa akin ni Erina.

Lumingon ako ulit sa dinaanan ni Lunox. Ngayon pa talaga kami may nakasabay na kalaban. Nawala din ang amoy ng mga Lamia.

Kaito clears our path, "He will be okay."

He will be safe.

Nang makasakay sa van ay humarurot ito paalis ng airport. We parked in front of a coffee shop near the airport.

Mainit ang kapeng hawak ko ngunit malamig ang pakiramdam ko. Almost an hour wala pa si Lunox. Nakalapag sa bakal na lamesa ang cellphone na dala namin.

"Calm down Rosaleen." Erina touches my hand, "You are panicking."

"Dapat hindi natin iniwan si Lunox ng mag-isa. He is still one of us. Paano kung..." I grip the coffee cup.

"Dapat pala ay frappe ang binili namin sayo." napailing si Kaito.

Kahit missed call lang galing sa kanya. I care for everyone on our group tulad ng ginagawa ko kay Cyrus. Lahat sila ay importante sa akin.

Ayaw kong masaktan ulit si Soleil at mahiwalay ulit sa kapatid niya.

Pati si Clea ay masasaktan. We might also face the wrath of Zeus if he lose his son.

RING~ RING~

"Where the fuck are you?!" Kaito screams.

"Drop the call I'm coming."

Napabuntong hininga si Erina, "You too?"

"Okay na ko. Ligtas si Lunox." finally maiinom ko na ang kape.

Your brother is safe Soleil!

Someone's running toward us with a phone on his hand. No wounds or blood is seen on his clothes. He is untouched and clean.

Kaito puts down the phone on the table.

"Thank goodness you are alive. Nagpanic si Rosaleen ganoon din si Kaito." Erina tells him.

Lunox pats my head. Para ko na siyang kapatid.

"I'm good. Finish your coffee and we'll head straight to the hotel."

Kaito pushes him towards the door. "Buy yours first. Hihintayin ka namin."

He calmly entered the coffee shop. Shades on, open jacket showing his inner shirt, and faded pants. His messy hair made the look complete.

Natulala ang Barista sa kanya. Kita sa labas ang reaction nito. Other constumers almost bump into each other dahil sa kanya.

"What a head turner." Erina comments.

"Ako din naman ah." sabi ni Kaito.

She gave him a bored look bago ito irapan. She is used to him bragging about his face and physical appearance.

I remember the scene at the pool and laughed.

Napatingin sa akin si Kaito, "Side effects of coffee."

"Nope. I remember something." ani kong tumatawa.

Those were the good old days.

"Their hearts are fluttering." uminom ng frappe si Erina, "Siguro ay naglalaway na ang iba."

Tila isang catwalk ang aisle ng coffee shop. A male model is walking towards our table.

"What can you say? He is an eye candy. Kahit si Clea ay nabihag niya." Kaito smirks.

"Uh huh. He did." I smile.

We went inside the vehicle when Lunox came out. Walang paki sa mga taong nakatingin.

The ride to the the hotel is shorter. Naamoy ko na din ang alat sa hangin. The shore is not far dahil dinig ko ang paghampas ng alon.

We stayed at the usual room-ang penthouse suite. Naghiwalay kami ng kwarto. Dalawahan naman kay kami ni Erina ang magkasama. We laid on the soft bed at nakatulog sa pagod.

"Knock! Knock!" Kaito's face peaked in our room.

Malabo pa ang paningin ko dahil bagong gising. Tulog pa din si Erina sa tabi ko.

"Let's have dinner. Gigisingin ko na siya." Kaito.

"Maghihilamos lang ako." paalam ko.

I did a quick face wash saka lumabas ng restroom. Gising na din si Erina na maayos pa din ang buhok. Mukhang hindi din ito bagong gising. She still looks fresh.

"We rent a yacht habang tulog kayo." Kaito informs us over dinner.

"Kaito felt the slight thug of power from the trident." Lunox.

Nakikinig lang kami ni Erina. We don't know what happened while we are asleep.

"I went to the shore. Dad reached out to me earlier." Kaito told us, "Saka ko naramdaman na andito ang hinahanap natin."

"But where?" tanong ko.

Erina's hand freeze near her mouth, "Is the location shallow?"

Umiling si Kaito sa amin. While Lunox watches his reaction ay ganoon din ang ginawa namin.

Kaito swallows a lump on his throat. He suddenly look so distant. Mukhang may naalala siya na hindi dapat. His emotion feeds his abilities this past few days.

"I'm with you." Erina holds his hand.

"We are." ngiti ko sa kanya.

"I think the location is deeper that we thought." he reveals.
