LUNOX
Kaito did what I told him first. I heard Erina's desperate scream on the yacht's deck. I'm afraid she will jump into the water to follow Rosaleen and save her herself. I can't allow that. A slight pull from the rope and I knew that Kaito found the trident...who also brought a friend of his.
"Don't kill me yet!" he screams on my face. Spit and salt water mix in the air.
His fear and panic distrupts the whole sea, shaking the yacht. Waves after waves are built tossing waters to me and the driver.
"Calm down! Your making wild waves already!" I almost let a thunder touch the water because of his fits, "Rosaleen fell to the sea. Save her first... I'll deal with your friend."
His fear returns immediately. He surely felt the weight from a falling body under the water. He is gone when I ran to Erina whose flailing her hands to the open sea water.
I help her stand up but the swollen ankle doesn't let her. Kaya inalalayan ko siya, "Erina! Kaito is looking for her. Okay?"
"She... they were pulling her... down... fast!" she is sobbing, "She's losing her breath... dapat di ko siya binitawan..."
I let her cry for a while hanggang sa kumalma siya. Until we are thrown off balance on the deck. A large tentacle swipes over our heads.
"Duck!" I protected her head while holding the spear to my other hand,
"Stay here. Wait for them, I'll distract this monster first! Saka kayo sumunod. Got it?"She nods at me dazed. Puzzled at the moment.
Thunder and dark clouds gather to the sky. A giant ancient cephalophod rose to the shallow waters. I need to hit its eye but it was submerged in the water. I strike one tentacle which grasps the starboard with lightning. Another one to the rigging. Kraken's shriek echo to the waters. Carefully I send a full blast of lightning and thunder on its exposed flesh. Sparks dance on the surface of the sea.
The spear lands on the yacht's roof.
"Fuck!" I struggle with it's grasps tightening around me.
One lightning strike, I thought. I'll absorb the shock when I submerge in the water. Yun lang muna, then I will fly to retrieve the spear. I started to count mentally hanggang sa hindi na kataasan ang babagsakan ko. I concentrated and imagine a strong force saka ito pinakawalan.
Taking the spear I landed on the deck, dripping wet.
"At last you show up! Show me what you got, Prince of the Sea!" I challenge him.
"I'll drown you, if that's your wish," he smiles slyly.
I signal Rosaleen to help Erina get to the cockpit.
Kaito puts up a sphere of water to protect the yacht and our friends. Using the water as his panel to stand on, he stands beside me. I feel my eyes turn gold, I let a crackle of blue lightning cross the sky. Water and electricity... a deadly combination.
"Show off!" he commented.
You're not the only child of the big three.
Kraken screeched when he senses us. Specially Kaito, the son of Poseidon who punished him. Tentacles after tentacles started to attack us.
A banshee of ear piercing cry echo around us. Pelts of salt water rain on us down to the sea. The roaring water lifts half of Kraken's body. It's toad like skin glimmer under the sun. It's enormous eyes looks scary and fascinating to look at.
"Any parting gift Prince of the sky?" Kaito ask. He dodges some tentacles and holds one for me to let a spark travel through.
"As you wish..." I said flying in the air.
A surge of lighting forms in my hands. I look at Kraken and press them on one his gigantic tentacles. The sea shakes, while Kaito forms a funnel of water to its eye. I use my spear to peirce it through giving it a blind eye. Kaito uses the the water to elongate his bronze sword swinging it to Kraken's head disintigrating him to ashes.
My spear falls to the sea but it bounces back to me. The liquid sphere is gone. Our eyes turned back to normal too.
Patakbong lumapit si Erina kay Kaito dropping the towel in the process. Halos matumba ang dalawa. Rosaleen hands me a towel.
"Yung paa mo!" she reprimand, "Gosh, I should have tied her with sea grass."
"Let her be," I pat her head, "Thank you for taking care of her. And change your clothes. Cyrus will be worried if you catch a cold."
"Right," she chuckles, "You too! Clea..." she smiles to tease me, "Is so worried. You've got 3 missed calls and 2 messages." then she's gone down the cabin.
He forms creatures from the water. Dolphins, whales... Kraken.
Going up I heard him say, "I did it. I faced my fear."
Yes, you fool. You prove me wrong about yourself. You're no coward who runs away from his fears and rejects the challenge of the Fates for you. I know Poseidon's even happier. More than retrieving the trident, You, his son, became brave for others.
Your title as Poseidon's son will always be yours. And no other was entitled for that.
I signal the driver to get back ashore. He thumbs up to me.
Looking at the sea the corner of my lips rose. I whispered, "We are going home."
