Chapter Forty-six

-

"Why can't I give you a piggyback to the car? Ashton pouted as his boyfriend refused to be picked up by him.

Luke didn't want Ashton discovering he had lost even more weight, he tries wearing baggy clothes but they just drown him making it look more obvious. Ashton wasn't oblivious though, he knew the blonde boy had been losing weight and it seemed to be purposely.

But, Liz had taken him to the doctors and he had denied throwing up. So whilst he was still eating a little, the curly haired boy didn't want to confront him. It would only upset the younger boy. Besides, he thought he was just worrying too much because of his past.

"Because-" Luke began trying to think of a valid excuse. He didn't want to say anything weight related as it would only cause suspicion and debate. "I feel sick," he lied.

"Oh," Ashton muttered, not knowing whether to believe him or not. "Are you still okay to go shopping. I don't want you to feel the need to come if you're really not up for it."

"I'm fine Ashton. Now let's go," he sighed pushing his boyfriend out of the door. He wanted to change the subject quickly.

"Okay," Ashton said unlocking his car and getting into the driver's seat, Luke sitting in the passenger's one. "If you want to go home, just tell me okay?" Ashton double checked worrying that Luke would actually be sick.

"Okay," Luke agreed, eager to get going. Ashton started up but then stopped it again. He looked over at his boyfriend who was staring straight ahead. His face seemed hollow again but his cheeks looked rather chubby. But that was only because they were swollen and there was quite a lot of pain. He wasn't going to tell anyone that though.

"Luke," he spoke up again. The blonde boy looked at him, looking all innocent as per usual but the curly haired boy was unsure he could trust him. That was not how relationships were supposed to be.

He turned his head to look at the curly haired boy. He heard some sort of doubt in his voice and that made Luke panic. "You wouldn't lie to me would you?" the older boy asked.

"Never," Luke lied, still looking him in eye. Lying was a skill he found all too easy and needed it so badly.

"Not even about your weight? Like if you wanted to hide the fact you weren't eating, would you lie to me then?" he asked trying to get Luke to understand what he was getting.

"I would," Luke admitted knowing that was exactly what his boyfriend wanted to hear. "But, I don't need to because I am eating just fine and I am happy with my body."

"Is it bad that I don't believe you?" Ashton questioned getting a gut feeling that Luke was lying straight through his teeth.

"No, you know my past. You have every right to be suspicious. Especially since I've lost a bit of weight. But, I really am I fine Ashton."

"I really hope you're not lying," he muttered under his breath, his body filled with fear knowing Luke was skilled at not eating.

-

"So you choose for me and I choose for you?" Luke asked trying to grasp what Ashton was getting at.
