Chapter Twenty-seven
-
Luke sat with his knees to his chest whilst he waited his turn in a game of monopoly which was taking place amongst the four boys.
It has been a long time since the blonde boy had been able to hang out with Michael and Calum due to everything which has happened recently.
Likewise, even though he currently despised Alex, he did basically promise he'd spend some time with the people he considered friends.
He wanted to hang out with them anyway. He wouldn't let his therapist dictate that.
"That's thirty please Clifford!" Calum smirked happily as the seven Michael has just rolled from the sum of the two dice ended him up on a property which the tan boy already owned.
Smiling smugly to himself Calum took the money Michael threw at him.
Luke smiled at the exaggerated expressions and wondered how long both of the boys had been here. Seeming as they both barely had to do all these counselling and stuff like he had to. And Luke was not even new anymore. He'd been here over two months.
"How long have you both been here?" the blonde asked curiosity. He already knew Ashton has been here for around seven months, getting on for eight.
"Just over a year," Michael said whilst counting his money. Looking up at the younger boy who was sat close to Ashton.
The blonde's eyes widened in shock. "How?" he asked confused. It didn't take that long to recover and Michael still was not allowed to leave.
"It's called refusal Luke. That's why you're going to be here way longer than you please," the now white haired boy told him whilst throwing him the dice.
Rolling them both, the anorexic looked over to Calum who sighed and admitted. "Four months and I can not wait to get out of here."
"You will one day," Michael promised giving the tan boys shoulder a tight squeeze.
"But you haven't yet," Calum protested.
"Everyone is different. We all have different problems," Michael explained. "You will be allowed back out when they believe you won't kill yourself."
"I won't."
"Keep on telling yourself that," Ashton muttered.
The blonde looked over at his boyfriend who looked rather down. But every time today when Luke had asked what was wrong it was instantly shot down with I'm fine.
Therefore, Luke was only left with the option to assume that maybe Ashton's medication was working well today against his bipolar hence why his attitude was not like the normal joyful one he expressed.
Moving ten spaces around the board, Luke found himself on the go to jail square. Groaning in annoyance like placed his counter in jail.
Michael just smirked. "Poor, innocent, little Lukey in jail, never thought I'd see that!"
Calum chucked also amused. There was still a little tension between the blonde and the raven haired boys from the last argument they had because they never had time to make up. But it has seemed like Luke was forgiven.
Smirking, Luke poked his tongue out at the elder boy.
Putting his hands back to surrender Michael laughed. "Woah, you are really scaring me, Luke!"
All three boys were laughing and Ashton couldn't help but smile too at how cute Luke was being.
Placing the dice in Calum's hands Luke returned back to his normal position where his knees were brought up to his chin making him look smaller than he was.
"You're making an improvement then?" Calum asked seeing that Luke did look like he had gained a little weight.
"Yeah, if that means getting fat," he laughed slightly.
"I'm sorry to hear about the psychosis. But I guess that explained the weird behaviour from before eh?"
"Yeah," Luke smiled at the raven haired boy. "Sorry about what I said to you before," he apologised.
"It's fine. I was stubborn back then," he said forgiving Luke for everything that had happened.
"So," Michael said clapping his hand's whisky Ashton took his go. "Have you heard the rumours?"
"Rumours?" Luke frowned only hoping they were not about him. The last thing he needed was negative rumours about himself when he was trying to recover.
"Yeah, I guess you haven't seeming you've not been about much," Michael assumed.
"Are they about me?" Luke quickly asked, only hoping too much that they were not.
"Unfortunately so mate," Michael smiled sympathetically.
"Oh God," Luke gulped dreading what they could be about.
He didn't care so much if they were about his psychosis or whatever. He just did not want them to be about his weight or body image. He didn't think he could deal with them currently.
"So is it true-" Michael began curious to know if the rumours actually were. If so, he found the situation slightly unfair.
"He doesn't know," Ashton quickly butted in, shaking his head at Michael.
The curly haired boy knew the rumour was true but Alex didn't want to tell Luke so he never confirmed it with anyone.
"Oh okay, never mind," Michael shrugged, keeping the rumour hidden still from the blonde.
"Please tell me," Luke begged nervously. He couldn't have the thought of a rumour going around eating him alive.
"Don't worry, it's probably not true," Michael dismissed guiltily.
"Please, I have every right to know. I'll only find out anyway."
"Fine," Michael sighed in defeated.
"Michael!" Ashton warned the white haired boy.
"Apparently, Alex-"
Luke was on the edge of his seat.
Meanwhile, Ashton was on the edge of strangling the boy.
"Alex what?" the blonde urged Michael to continue.
Thinking off of the top of his head Michael quickly responded.
"Apparently in sessions Alex touches you up."
