Chapter Eleven
-
True believers always have one thing on their lips, silence and a smile. Luke, however, only had the silence. A smile would only occur when he is skinny and thin. He made himself that promise.
It may have seemed creepy to any onlooker but Alex stood at the blonde's door for ten minutes before uttering a word. He watched as Luke started up at the ceiling with a frown on his face. The ticking of his brain almost audible due to how hard he was thinking.
This worried the grey-haired man. That maybe Luke's over thinking was causing his whole disorder to be worse. Nevertheless, he finally spoke up. "You wanted to talk to me?"
Instantly the blonde snapped out of his daze and his blue eyes darted to where Alex stood with his arms crossed leaning across the door frame.
Nodding Luke began to ask a question. "Do I have to be alone in this room?" He was bored out of his mind. All he did was fantasies over how good his body would look when he exceeded his goal weight; talk to himself or his surroundings and have multiple people prodding away at his malnourished body.
"After today you can leave," Alex stated as he made his way over to the chair beside the bed with white sheets. Looking Luke up and down Alex asked, "You wanted to talk to me?" the question Luke have just a minute ago did not justify his first question, therefore, be reworded it
"I'm bored," Luke groaned pushing himself up so he was sitting. He wore a pair of grey sweats which hung on his petite waist and a baggy black top. He was still skeletal looking, however, the food force-fed to him had brought colour back to him. Even if he did regurgitate some of it.
"I expect you are, did you want visitors then?" Alex checked. Luke nodded leaving Alex to query, "Who?"
"Ashton," the blonde spoke instantly as if he's planned this conversation and fully rehearsed it.
"Okay well like I said, you can go back to your room tonight, therefore, there is no point now," the older man told him.
"But I still have to wait and that's boring," he yet again moaned. "Just for a couple of hours," Luke pleaded, flattering his eyelashes just like he did with his mother.
Chuckling Alex muffled Luke's hair causing a few clumps to fall out. "That doesn't work with me, young man. But there is no need for Ashton to come here as your day is already compacted with things."
"Like what?" Luke didn't do much apart from getting checked over every couple of hours to check his heart beat was steady. And when Alex was there it was always medical or therapeutic. That was not fun.
"I've talked to your mum-"
Luke cut him off muttering, "That's not good."
Smiling and ignoring the blonde he continued, "And I asked for her permission to insert a nasal gastric tube."
Luke froze still and the older man watched his actions which would tell his reaction. "Does that mean I'll gain weight?" he asked quietly and nervously.
"Yes, not too much. However, it will be enough to support your body and keep your heart going," Alex explained hopefully getting Luke to go along with it.
Yet again he sat and thought. "Will I have to eat?"
"I'd like you to try however it would not be superficial for the time being. You can eat the food of your choice if that makes you feel better."
"My mother agreed to this?" Luke frowned confused by how his mother agreed to a technique which is basically force-feeding.
"Yes," Alex stated simply leaving out the part where he had to persuade her.
