As we walked up to the large building I coups see that some windows were broken. I went to the door and saw that it was unlocked I opened it slowly and went inside with Max next to me. Hannah and Andrew came in after us, inside the building looked a lot better then I thought it would. I walked to the desk to see if there was anything there. The desk was round and had papers scattered everywhere there was blood all over the desk and the paper. There was a foul smell coming from behind it as I looked over I saw a body of a middle aged women torn apart and all of her insides eaten out.
I backed away slowly and looked at the others, we then headed to the stairs and started going up. My brother was on the top floor which means we wood be walking forever. But you know there Is nothing bad about going up 50 flights of stairs. By the time we had gotten to the 25 floor we were already getting tired we hadn't slept much so this wasn't to good for us. We kept going on and on soon I realized that we had gotten to our the 42 floor. I was really hoping Tanner was up here other wise I wood be really mad at myself for not getting here earlier.
When we got to the 50th floor I opened the door and step inside. It was completely quiet and u could here every foot step you took. We all got inside and closed the door, his office is really big and had so many things that were really expensive. We walked to the window over looking the entire city and it was nothing but fire and smoke covering the ground. We all stood there looking out the window when all of a sudden I heard a click of a gun pointed right at my head. I turned around quickly and saw my brother pointing a pistol at me.
As soon as he saw my face he whispered quietly
"Chelsi?"
"oh my gosh Tanner you are still alive"
He put the gun down quickly and hugged me.
"I thought you were dead" I said almost to the point of crying.
" well you know I thought you were dead it scared me to even think that"
I let go of him and looked at him. I was so happy to see that Tanner was OK and that he wasn't hurt at all.
"so I see you have your friends with you"
"yaa they have kept me alive throughout this entire thing."
"so umm I'm guessing mom and dad didn't make it... " Tanner said sadly
" I couldn't save them in time I'm sorry"
"don't be I'm just glad your OK. "
He told us all to sit down and asked if we were hungry. We all hadn't eaten for a couple hours so we said yes and he gave us some food. It had been forever since I've had good tasting food. We were all thankful to have food and a place to stay away from the outside world for a while. We sat there and talked tanner saw that Ives's pretty wrecked your and asked what happened to me. I told him everything we have been through he was shocked and he gave me a hugged.
" I always knew you were my badass sister. " he said laughing
"haha well I tried my hardest to be a badass person" I said cheerfully
We all laughed it had been good to get a laugh being in this situation. We all talked for a long time just to catch up on things Hannah and Andrew looked so relieved to be able to be somewhere safe. Me and Max were also very happy we all stuck together which is why we are still all Here. These were my best friends they were pretty much my family Hannah has always been my sister because we have known each other forever and I'm glad that I have a sister like her to keep me going through these times.
Soon it became night and everyone went to sleep except me. I got up and went over to the window and sat down, I looked out the window and saw the light of small fires coming from some stores and other buildings. I sat there in silence when I heard someone walk towards me I looked over and saw Max and he sat down next to me.
"can't sleep? "Max said with a calm voice
"hah yaa what about you"
"well I saw that you were up and alone so I decided to come and comfort you..... And umm ...make it to where you weren't umm..... alone...." he said stuttering
"awe well thx I appreciate that a lot Max" I said with a smile.
He smiled back at me he got closer to me. We talked for a hour when we both ended up falling asleep.
When we got woken I almost fell of the window seat and of course Max did. A couple hours later we were all talking about a plan of how we were going to get more weapons and food. My brother came up with a great plan so we all agreed that we wood leave tomorrow afternoon.
I'm so glad that I have gotten this far and it's all thx to my friends and my family.
