Later that evening i lay lay on the couch staring up at the cieling fan as it spins. All i hear is my breath and bodies being dragged across the floor. I smell the stench of burning flesh and a cold breeze comes into the house. Everyone was silent and scrubbing the floors as best as they could. I still had blood stains on my shirt and face. I lift up my arms and see them covered in blood, getting up to go to the sink i start washing off my hands when i feel a sharp pain in my left arm. I look down at my arm and see a gash.... How did i not notice this. Finishing up i grab some medicine and clean up my wound.
" are you ok" hannah asks coming up to me.
" oh yeah im fine" i say looking at her and giving a small smile
" what did that guy tell you... If its not to early to ask."
" its ok.. He told me that there were more of them and that they were going to come and kill us all especially me" i say finishing up wrapping my arm.
" well we wont let them kill us.. They deserve to die for what they have done to us"
Looking at her i grin and say " i want in on this"
She laughs and looks at me " your in no good shape to do such a thing ."
" when the time comes i will be i dont ca...." i get off by a yell out side. We run out side and we see 20 men coming from over the hill. We all run inside and and grab our guns and rush and hide in certain spots of the house. We wait in silence for a couple seconds when we hear the door slam open.
" we know you helpless children are in here... Come out and surrender so we dont have to kill you..." one of the men says as another starts to speak
"isnt that why we came he.."
" shut up you idiot!" another one yells
Well i guess some of them arent very bright... I hear a few of them start coming up the stairs. I sit on the floor with my gun next to me and my sword in hand. I close my eyes as i hear footsteps come closer to the door. A few seconds later the guy walks right through the door and i get up and take his head off. His body falls to the floor and i hide back in my spot. Every so often i hear bodies fall to the floor and then silence again. Im assuming that we are 5 down. Silence is still taking over the house when i hear hannah scream i get up quickly and run to where she was. I see 3 guys standing over her i run at them and stab a guy in the back i push him off as the other guys come at me i stab another and hannah throes a knife at the last one they fall and i help hannah up. Before i can say anything to her i hear men running up the stairs i turn around and i see 6 men come into the room. I yell out to the others " back up guys!" the men laugh and a guy throws a knife at my head, it flies past my head and and sticks into the wall behind me. I quickly grab it and throw it at a guy one ducks and one behind gets stabbed in the chest. He falls to the ground and the other guys walk towards us hannah shoots 2 of the guys and i hear sam and tanner run down the hallway and take down the last guys there. We all looked at each other and we hear 5 more bodies fall i think for a few seconds theres one more guy... Thats when i hear a yell. I freeze and my mind goes straight to zach i start running to where he was i get to the door way and i stop in my tracks.
I look in the room and i see zach laying on the floor with a knife in his stomach. I stare at him not able to breath when i get take back into reality when the guy in the room with him tackles me. I struggle to keep him from hurting me when he pulls out his gun from his side and starts to point it at me with a grin on his face. I push his hand away as much as i can when the guy gets pushed off me and i hear a gun shot. It felt everything just stopped. My eyes closed for a few seconds and then they opened. I see the man laying on the floor with a knife in his chest. It was the knife that was in zach i look up and see zach on his knees as he falls to the ground. I scramble to get up and run over to him. I fall to my knees and pick him up. He layed limp in my arms as he moved his head and looked at me.
"Chelsi..... I love....yo...." his eyes close and i start crying.
" no...NO you cant leave me..... Not yet...." i start crying on his chest as he lays on the floor with blood surrounding his body. Everyone comes rushing into the room as i lay there crying on him.
"oh my god"
" this cant be happening"
"chelsi..."
I look at them and yell " he didnt deserve this! I shouldve died .....not him!" i look back at him and i punch the floor.
They all looked at me and sam and hannah cane over to me and hugged me and didnt let go. I sat there for hours not moving just staring at the floor as i cry until i couldnt anymore. My feelings turned from saddness to anger i screamed and grabbed my head. I layed on the floor and soon drifted off to sleep. When i wake up im in my room. Startled i get up quickly when i hear someone open my door i grab my sword and start breathing really hard. It was kalven he walks in and comes over to me. He takes my sword out of my hands and puts it down, he makes me sit down and then sits down next to me i stare out in front of me and i start crying. He hugs me and brings me closer to him.
" im sorry.... I..." he stops and just stays silent. " im sorry" he whispers again...
