Lexi's POV;

I woke up screaming from my recurring nightmare, or should i say, my most dreaded memory.

My name is Alexis Dennis Torsney. Though I love my first name, I really would've preferred a different middle name. My dad says my late grandmother from his side had the same name.

Anyway, it seems I'm going a bit off topic here. You see, I'm not just your normal everyday girl, although I'm trying my best to be!

My dad, Jhon Agnes Torsney was the previous boss or don of the American mafia, with my elder brother, Xander Ruffel Torsney having that position currently.

So it probably shouldn't come as a suprise that I have being trained in most kinds of combat and weapons since I was little.

It was mostly thanks to my own stubbornness really. My dad never wanted me to be a part of the business, but the fact that i was interested in combat didn't really help. So being the doting father he was, my dad let me start training at the age of 10, although a bit later than my big brother.

Now at the age of 20, I no longer stay with my dad and brother, rather I have my own comfy apartment complex near my college campus.

"Honk, honk. Lexi, get your lazy self down here right now! We're gonna be late!" And that is the sound of my very best friend Andrea Daniella Alfonso, honking and shouting outside. I know, she has a loud voice.

"Coming." I yelled running down the stairs, and out the front door. Like me, Drea also has a mafia background. Her elder brother, what was his name again, Alessandro, I think, is the don of the Italian mafia. It's just that our two mafias are kind of rivals, and I'm pretty certain it will not sit well with either side, if they found out about me and Drea being bestest of friends.

I slumped on the front seat of Dreas red ford mustang, or so I think. I'm not very good with cars you see, can't help it.
"So, what are we getting late for again?" I raised a brow at my overly enthusiastic friend. "Duh, our saturday outing and shopping spree ofcourse. Now buckle up. ci divertiremo un mondo (we are going to have a blast) before classes start tommorow."

I buckled my seat belt, getting ready for another hyper active saturday with Drea, while also getting ready for sudden italian sentences from Drea, which I would barely understand. This is gonna be one hell of a day.
