Ch 31: Healing

Y/n POV

I was drifting in and out of consciousness. I could hear voices. Some of them like Katsuki's and Mina's and Shoto's I could make out and recognize. Others sounded foreign to me. I tried to open my eyes but my eyelids were very heavy. I couldn't feel anything below the neck. I let the darkness take me again.

Katsuki POV

"Katsuki you're alright!" My old man and old hag came to see me in the hospital. I was fine besides a few bruises but I was here for y/n. I looked up and before I could protest they had enveloped me in a hug. My old lady pulled back first.

"We heard what happened. Is y/n alright?" At the mention of her name, all the emotions I had been feeling spilled out again.

I had refrained from crying since I picked her up from where she fell, but the reality that I could've lost her was hitting home.

My parents held me in a hug and for once, I just let it happen. Once I had let everything out, I pulled away and wiped my face.

"You didn't see any of that, you hear me?" They both nodded and I exhaled. "The doctors won't tell me anything but she was half awake the last time I saw her. I know she's gonna be ok...." I mumbled the last part as it was more to convince me. My mom's face flipped from concern to anger. She walked over to the nurse station.

"Hello can I speak to who's ever in charge of l/n y/n?" The nurse looked up at her with an eyebrow raised.

"And you are?" She's going to embarrass me. 

"Her future mother in law. Now could you direct me to her room or the doctor in charge of her?" Oh god mom... I tuned out the rest of that conversation and my dad just watched with a nervous smile on his face.

Then I heard a separate voice and I looked over to see Sebastian with my mom. He waved us over and I basically jumped over the chair to get to them.

"Bakugou don't worry she's going to be ok. Recovery girl has already been in to see her so she's just asleep right now. You can visit her but there's no guarantee that she'll be awake," Sebastian told us.

He put a hand on my shoulder and gave me a soft smile. I nodded and told him thank you before walking in the direction of her room. When I reached the door, I took a deep breath before going in.

I opened the door and the room was dark. Y/n was laying on the hospital bed, her chest rising and falling slowly. I looked at the machines monitoring her vitals and they were all normal, which made me feel a lot better.

She was cleaned up, most of the burns and cuts were fading. Her hands were covered in bandages. She's never going to have to hold anything again if I have anything to say about it. 

I pulled up a chair and sat next to her. I looked to the side and saw her bracelet on the nightstand. It was covered in ash and the cord looked frayed and ready to snap. I took it putting it in my pocket. I'll fix it and give it back to her. I decided that I'd bring her some clothes too because I know she wouldn't want to stay in that unfashionable hospital gown. 

I looked at her face, sleeping peacefully, and smiled. I leaned down and kissed her forehead.

"I'll be back tomorrow y/n. See you then..." I turned and walked out of the room. I came face to face with my parents and Sebastian. I clicked my tongue and kept walking out of the hospital. 

"Let's go home already you old people," I shouted over my shoulder. I heard my mom reprimand me from behind and I smirked to myself. Everything's going back to normal.
