Y/n POV (Christmas Eve: 9 months 37 weeks pregnant)
It was 8pm on Christmas Eve and we were all huddled in the living room. Katsuki was able to come home early today and since the kids spent the whole day with me they were happy to see him. Right now we were all sitting in the living room in our matching Christmas pajamas (the hell I had to go through to get Katsuki to wear them) and the kids were playing.
"Daddy when is Baby Mango coming?" Nyoko whined putting down her lego set. He raised his eyebrow at her.
"Why are you asking me when mommy's the one carrying them?" Nyoko pouted.
"Mommy keeps saying after Christmas and I don't like that answer so I thought you'd have a better one," she explained. I stifled a laugh at my straightforward daughter. Kitaro looked up from his play doh and nodded.
"Yeah, I wanna meet Mango now," he said. I was going to continue laughing when I felt something. I raised my hand.
"Well you might get your wish. Katsuki, do not freak out, but my water just broke," I said calmly with a smile. Telling Katsuki not to freak out was useless because he jumped up and then sat back down to look over me and then pointed to the door.
"Alright kids put your shoes on and get in Daddy's car. This is not a drill," he said sternly and the kids saluted him. We never even had a drill. I laughed and winced as I grabbed the prepared baby bags and walked to the car with the help of Katsuki.
A short drive later and we arrived at the hospital. Thankfully, Miwatari was on shift tonight so she could help us. We were put in a room and the kids were starting to realize that meeting their little sibling wasn't going to be easy.
"Katsuki go take the kids to the gift shop or something. They don't need to see this," I strained out. He squeezed my hand and then grumbled.
"Damn dumbass, like hell I'm leaving you. Sebastian and my mom are on their way so don't worry," he informed me reassuringly. I nodded and tried to suppress the pain for the sake of the kids.
Sebastian arrived first and he was able to distract the kids long enough to get them out of the room. Miwatari came over with the big needle for the epidural and I groaned. Katsuki turned my head away and placed his forehead on mine.
"You're doing great babe and the kids are fine, worry about Mango right now alright," he said calmly. I nodded and didn't even feel when the needle went into my spine (This was a lie it hurt like hell). Mitsuki came in and sat by my side like the first time.
"Alright hun, we x-rayed your uterus and your placenta is doing great this time, so a vaginal birth will work for you. Do you want to do it that way?" She asked me.
"Oh yes please, I do not want surgery," I said a little too rushed. She nodded and walked away and started writing things down. What she was writing, I don't know, but I trust her.
Another 3 hours and I was finally dilated enough to push. Miwa instructed me as such and after severely bruising Katsuki and Mitsuki's hands and what felt like an eternity, I heard the beautiful sound of crying.
"It's a girl!" Miwa said placing the baby on my stomach. I smiled, tears streaming down my face as Katsuki kissed them away. "Alright next is the placenta. I need you to push one more time ok?" I nodded and braced myself again.
This time there was no AIP to almost kill me and the placenta came out in one piece. The doctors in the room clapped while I held my little Mango to my chest. She was a bit chubbier than the twins were but that's to be expected because the twins were a bit premature.
She opened her little red eyes and stared unfocused at me. She had my hair texture and she was a full ash blond just like her daddy. Her skin was a bit lighter than the twins' and she was all around perfect.
