Ch 52: Let It Snow

Twins are 3 years old.

Y/n POV

"Mommy! Daddy! It snowin!" My baby girl ran into our bedroom early on a Sunday morning. Can't really call her a baby though she's three and a half . Nyoko jumped on our bed landing sideways on top of Katsuki and I. Katsuki grumbled and sighed.

"What Spicy? What could possibly be so important that—oh shit," he said as he looked out the window with KoKo in his arms cheering. I sat up and glared at him for cursing. I joined them at the window and gasped when I saw it. 

The snow covered everything for miles. All our backyard furniture, their playground, the ground, and the trees where covered in a thick layer of shiny snow. The snow was still falling and I could see why KoKo was so excited. But then I remembered we had two babies. 

"KoKo where's your brother?" She looked at me and pouted.

"Kita still sleeping. He don't wanna see snow," she said with an adorable huff. I giggled as Katsuki consoled her and we all walked back to the twins room. I figured that Nyoko had tried to wake him up and Kitaro just said no and went back to sleep.

As I predicted he was sleeping on his tummy, about to fall off the bed. I walked over and picked him up before he could fall and his arms and legs wrapped around me and his head went onto my shoulder.

"Kita, you don't want to see the snow? It's really pretty," I said sweetly. He shook his head and mumbled a soft no. I looked to KoKo and shrugged. She sighed and pulled Katsuki to her closet so she could style her outfit for the snow.  I sat in the rocking chair with Kita and let him sleep on me some more.

It took about 20 minutes for KoKo to settle on an outfit. Usually we wouldn't indulge her like this but she seemed so excited so Katsuki just let her go. After she picked her outfit she sat semi quietly while Katsuki did her hair. She's moved up to braids with the little beads or balls and Katsuki finds a sufficient challenge and arm workout getting her hair done. 

Kita sat up a bit but he was still leaning on me while he watched his sister get ready. Nyoko noticed her brother and turned to wave at him, causing Katsuki to twist her head back into place. She pouted but she sat still. Kita pat my arm and I looked down.

"I go see snow with KoKo, but jus for a little bit," he said with a very serious face that cutely solidified his terms. I smiled and nodded.

"Ok then what do you want to wear?"

Later....

After finally getting all dressed and getting breakfast we walked to the patio door. Nyoko was bouncing with excitement but Kitaro was squeezing my hand nervously. I looked down and gave him a smile as Katsuki opened the door and Nyoko ran out. 

I sighed and caught her in an air bubble and dropped her into Katsuki's arms. She looked at me confused and slightly offended. Katsuki bopped her nose.

"Let mommy melt the ice first so you don't slip and fall," he told her and she sighed and waved her hand at me as if to tell me to hurry up. I laughed and I used my flame quirk to melt the ice off the hard surfaces. Then that water I threw on the rest of the snow and it quickly turned to snow as well. I turned back to my family.

"Ok have at it," I said with a smile. Nyoko practically jumped out of her fathers arms and ran into the snow. She picked up as much as she could and raised it over her head, but then fell backward and laughed. Katsuki went to go play with her.

I walked back over to Kita who was playing with the hem of his jacket. I asked him if he wanted to go play with his sister and he looked at me like he didn't know what to answer. I grabbed his  hand and he took a deep breath and walked with me to the edge of the patio where the snow began.
