Ch 27: Opponents

Y/n POV

Today we were doing combat training in a new facility that was city based.

Katsuki and Shoto had been doting on me since the lab two days ago and Mina was doing her best to get them to give me some space. I didn't mind because it meant that the truly cared about me, no matter what happened to me in my past.

"Today you will be practicing combat when you are outnumbered. As you know, villains often commit crimes in groups so its important that you know when to fight back by yourself or call for backup," Mr. Aizawa said.

We were all watching, standing in a half moon around him in our hero costumes. They had to be repaired almost every night but since we were on I-Island it was doable.

"You'll be fighting 3v1's. 3 villains vs 1 hero. The matches will go on for 15 minutes and each side has to capture all the other opponents to win." Mr. Aizawa nodded at Ochaco who had raised her hand.

"What do you mean all the other sides members, the hero only has one member," she asked.

"The hero is allowed to phone in a friend. I'll send a random classmate to come help you. But if you do this than you lose 5 minutes of your time to simulate how long it would take a hero to get to your location and the possibility that the villains will flee once they hear back up coming. This will force you to make quick decisions." 

So if you waste 10 minutes trying to do it yourself, then you're going to lose if you call a friend. Basically you only have about 2-3 minutes to figure yourself out so you'll still have enough time to capture the villain.

My thoughts were interrupted when Mr. Aizawa started calling out groupings. Katsuki was going to go before me and he was up against Tsu, Mineta, and Sato. Before he left I pulled him aside and gave him a small kiss on the cheek. He recoiled.

"Dumbass don't do that in front of all these people!" He said. I giggled as his cheeks turned red from anger and embarrassment.

"You got this my number 1," I said smiling at him softly. He clicked his tongue and mumbled something like 'of course I do' before walking away. He could act mad all he wanted but I know he liked that.

Katsuki POV

Damn y/n, embarrassing me like that. Who does she think she is....besides my girlfriend.

I continued to grumble all the way down to the arena. The others were in an observation room above the ring. The arena was a slightly rattled city area. The circumstances reminded me of the sports festival but here, a ring out wouldn't guarantee me victory.

I'm up against two people with melee style quirks and the other is like a mid range. I should be good if I keep my distance. 

Mr. Aizawa said we could start and I started off with a large explosion, causing dust in the air that would keep them away from me. From the smoke came flying a purple ball.

I dodged it but heard Sugar roaring his way at me. I ducked under his punch and got in close to fire an explosion at his side. It blew him back a bit and I turned to get tangled up in the frog girls tongue.

The grape yelled to hold me so he could stick me to the ground. She can't hold me if her tongue gets burnt off. I grabbed the tongue part nearest to me and blew explosions in it. She flinched but she held on. Hm, tough girl. Ok then plan b.

I blasted explosions at the ground, launching me into the air. As I thought, her tongue was only so long and soon I had her lifted off the ground.

I noticed that the grape had some of his balls in his hands. I used my explosions to steer myself that way, dragging the frog with me. Sugar boy followed and I realized my plan was going to work.
