Ch 12: Hosu

Y/n POV

It was the third day of our internships. Katsuki made it a point to text me every night asking how i am but reaffirming he doesn't care. Damn Tsundere. Rock Lock (RL) has been teaching me basic hero procedures since i really didnt need remedial combat training.

We did spar a bit yesterday. I got to learn how to control an element being controlled by someone else.  Today we were going on a patrol. We were walking around the city and Rock Lock did his best to make conversation.

"So how's your uncle?" He asked me. I stifled a groan.

"He's the same as ever honestly." If RL noticed the change in my demeanor he didnt mention it. We continued making small talk and patrolling. We spent the whole day doing this, and the sun had set. Then RL got a call. He answered it and addressed whoever was on the other side. Then there was an explosion. RL turned to me and gave me a serious glare.

"There's a villain attack. Stay behind me and dont get into any trouble." I nodded at him and we started running towards the danger. Shit just got real. When we got closer to the scene there were people running away.

Then, a Nomu burst through a building. I used a large peace of debris and chucked it at him. I managed to knock it over, but its eyes were now on me. I blasted it with fire and so did somebody else. Endeavor. Which also means...

"Shoto!" I ran up to him and he looked surprised to see me. I was going to explain when another Nomu exploded a gas truck. A fire started and i ran to the nearest fire hydrant. Come on metal bending dont fail me now. I was able to bend the hydrant open and water rushed out. I directed the water at the fire, hoping to put it out. But when I'm using another element i cant use seismic sense.

A Nomu punched me in the side and sent me flying into a building. A broken pipe sliced open my arm, my side hurt like hell, and i hit my head. Hey, concussions make a bitch spicy. 

"Y/n do not engage," RockLock yelled at me. I groaned, not in pain, but annoyance. The universe hates to see me having fun. I opened my bag and used some of my ice to cover my wound. I started trying to help the citizens evacuate. I put out fires where i could and tried to keep debris from falling on anyone by slowing its descent with air bending.

My phone vibrated and i checked it quick. Midoriya sent his location? What the hell where's Shoto? 

"Y/n! Let's go help Midoriya." Shoto shouted over the noise.

"Go on ahead. I'll make sure we have back up." I turn and ran through the chaos until i found RockLock and Endeavor. I gave them the location and told them to send any heroes they had to spare and that Shoto and I were going ahead. RL looked upset but i ran before he could talk me out of it.

I arrived just as Shoto froze the ground in an alleyway. Holy shit Stain the Hero Killer. Stain dodged the ice but i used an air whip and blasted him against the wall. Iida was down and bleeding and Midoriya looked paralyzed. He could still talk tho and he explained how Stain's quirk worked.

"All i gotta do is keep my distance," Shoto said before a knife flew past his face. A second flew towards me but i dodged it and caught the hilt. Souvenir. Stain tried to lick Shoto's wound but i blasted fire at him to keep him back.

Stain jumped back and then went to attack the other pro that was injured. I did a flying fire kick at him but he grabbed my leg and flipped me over. I bounced back up but he threw a knife that hit right above where the pipe from early had impaled. 

Stain licked the knife, shit, but i was only paralyzed for a minute. Midoriya was able to move then and attacked Stain before returning to where Shoto and I where. He explained all the ways Stain could be limited, amount of blood ingested, blood type, and time. It's probably blood type. The pro was Type A and Iida was Type B. I'm Type O so yea his limit is blood type. Shit just got interesting. I used the rest of my ice to freeze over Shoto's arm.
