Ch 57: Consequences

Katsuki POV

I was in charge of bringing the kids to school today. They were used to it by now so it wasn't as much as a hassle as it used to be.

"Hey your mom's gonna pick you guys up tonight ok?" I told the twins as I pat both of their heads. They nodded and came in for a hug.

"Bye daddy we love you!" I still get embarrassed when they say that to me in public but I returned their hug anyway. 

"Love you too. You better be good and behave," I said sternly and they saluted me.  I watched them run over to their friends and smiled a bit to myself.

My Mochis are really growing up....

Narrator POV

The school day went on as usual for Nyoko, Kitaro, Hiromi, and Toyokazu. They played together, learned together and had a great time. 

When recess came around the group went outside and decided to play in the sand box. Of course Nyoko took the lead and everyone agreed to go along with her plan.

"A fort and a castle are two different things Hiro," Nyoko said exasperated. Toyokazu nodded.

"Yeah and castles and palaces are different too," he said softly to bolster Nyoko's authority. Kitaro sighed dramatically.

"Ok ok. But what are we gonna make? Recess is only so long you know," he said bouncing with excitement and ready to get to it. They all debated a bit before they decided to build a fort with a moat. 

Kitaro and Toyokazu went to go find decorative rocks and sticks and Nyoko and Hiromi stayed to start building the actual fort. They were getting pretty far along. They had the moat dug out and a  fort shaped.

They were almost done when a boy flanked by two other boys came over and kicked down their fort. Nyoko looked up to find out who had done that. 

"Hey what was that for?" She said angrily pouting at the kid. The boy smirked and kicked sand right into Hiromi's face. Nyoko hugged her friend and glared at the boy. 

"Your sand castle was dumb and I felt like breaking it," he said nonchalantly while his friends giggled behind him. Nyoko stood up angrily. She didn't know what she could do because she knew she couldn't fight him, but she didn't want to run to the teacher and leave Hiromi alone.

The boy pushed Nyoko and one of his friends helped trip her. Nyoko scrapped her hand on the edge of the sand box but she didn't cry. She just glared at the boy and was about to give him a piece of her mind. 

Kitaro and Toyokazu came back and Kitaro noticed what happened to his sister. He ran over and stood in front of Nyoko and Hiromi. Toyokazu followed him and helped Hiromi get the sand off her face and out of her eyes.

"What did you do to my sister?" Kitaro said in a low voice. The growl that was in it very much proved he was Katsuki's son. The bully laughed and reeled his arm back.

"Just this!" The bully prepared to punch Kitaro but Kitaro pushed his arm away and punched him in the nose. The kids nose started to bleed but he wasn't about to lose so he punched Kitaro in the mouth, splitting his lip. The boys continued to fight. 

Toyokazu tried to get in to pull the bully off of Kitaro but they were a little to rough for him to interfere and a stray hit landed him in the head. Hiromi was able to get the sand out of her eyes and she ran over to get Yamane. 

"Yamane-sensei come quick!" She said pulling on her teachers hand. Yamane ran over and was able to separate the boys. She brought them all inside and tended to injuries.
