Ch 70: Beautiful Sound

Y/n POV

The sound of the alarm going off alerted those of us who were left in the office that there was an emergency. Kirishima, Katsuki, Sero, and I left LORRE and arrived at the scene of the crime.

An office building was leaning sideways and there was a hostage situation on the top floor. I ran forward and used my quirk to stabilize the foundation of the building, but that pretty much immobilized me because if I moved or let my guard down, the building would fall.

"Dynamite, Red Riot, go inside and free the hostages. Cellophane make sure the building is fully evacuated and keep the civilians away. I'll keep the building up straight but hurry because I can't hold it forever," I yelled out. They nodded and got to work.

I watched all of them enter the building and took a deep breath, bracing myself even more.

Katsuki POV

I ran in the building with Kirishima and took the stairs three at a time to get to the top. Honestly y/n would be better at this than us but she had to keep the building from collapsing, and this way meant I get to beat up some bad guys.

"Dynamite they're down that way," Kirishima said pointing down the hallway. I peeked around the corner and determined that they were far enough away from the hostages that we could ambush them and not put the civilians in danger.

"Guys wait! Proceed with caution, one of the villains has a bomb," Sero said through our ear pieces. I grumbled. That sure does complicate things. I thought in my mind and looked around the corner again.

I couldn't see the bomb which most likely meant it wasn't strapped to any of the villains and it was on the opposite side of the hostages. That meant if we had the right timing we could handle everything in one go. I turned to Kirishima.

"Red, when I give the count, go in straight for the hostages. I'll grab the bomb and handle the villains." He nodded and turned his hardening on. "Go!" We charged towards the room and the villains didn't have time to react.

I blew off small explosions in two of their faces, turned and noticed that Kirishima had taken out the third guy and freed the hostages. One of the bad guys then began to laugh.

"Hahaha you think you've won hero?" He bit down on something and I heard a beep. I looked over my shoulder and found the bomb, with a countdown descending from 10. I grabbed it and headed for the window.

"Get the people out of here!" I yelled at Kirishima and then used my explosions to propel myself out of the window and into the air. I couldn't just throw the bomb because it might land and detonate somewhere near the city. I kept exploding up and watched the timer.

When it was at 3 seconds I threw it up, launching it with my own explosion as it detonated in the sky. The heat and the shock wave pushed me back to the ground. My head was pounding and my ears were ringing. But something caught me and I landed somewhat safely on the ground.

I stood up and realized Cellophane was in front of me, he must've caught me, and his mouth was moving but I couldn't understand him. It was just a low muffle and then I realized.

I can't hear anything.....

A little before....

Y/n POV

I steadied my breathing as I felt the building waver again and my arms burn. I'm holding a 200,000 ton building up and they decide this is the moment they want to take their sweet time.

"You need a hand?" A voice said as a giant pillar of ice shot out and hit the side of the building, slowing it from falling. Another ice pillar came out on the other side and I could feel the building stop falling. I exhaled and moved away slowly, releasing my quirk hold on it and turned to see Shoto standing there.
